CHAPTER 131: YOU WANT ME

He allowed himself a well-pleased smirk. He wasn't alone in enjoying their time together, whether it was Leigh riding behind him on the motorcycle, or rummaging in the shops for some keepsake to exclaim over, or chasing and teasing each other in the summer nights. Leigh's laughter said she had relaxed, that she trusted him. She seemed to be uncoiling from that tight business knot, to enjoy each breath of fresh air, the excitement of the days—and nights. They each worked hard, and yet came together with a surprising passion.

Leigh flopped to her back, watching the stars overhead. "Tell me about them. Tell me how you were when you and Mikhail and your parents would sail, setting the course by them."
