The Chase

"Sam- You, you've the warrior Nexus power! I saw it, the speed and strength!", Nosele exclaimed. "You both, get out of here, we will handle Seii, you need to survive and defeat the Neumorians"

"Who are these 'Neumorians'?", I asked. "You will understand everything, for now, just get to the Talpes mountain, there are some people there who will help you, now go", Nosele said as he pushed us towards a wall I looked and saw Seii throwing small white orbs towards us while he was levitating in the sky. The first one hit the old man and he was thrown towards us, but he hit the wall, which was destroyed by the impact and he fell two floors down to the ground. Sam dragged me through the stairs down to the first floor then to the ground outside. The whole building was falling apart while we ran, because of the white orbs being thrown at us.

There were many surprised men standing with fully equipped guns looking at the sky- no looking at Seii. "DIE DIE! Get those Nexian brats!", he ordered the military. It took some time for them to realize he was talking about us two, they then started shooting at us, but Sam tanked up all the bullets as he was wearing the full-body armor. "You keep running", Sam said. I kept running just as he told me. Sam picked up a gun and started shooting back. We reached the place through which we had entered this camp. I crawled on the ground, opened thw trapdoor, Sam got in and soon we were running to our car. I saw them getting inside their buggies and SUVs, this will end up in a car chase. Enter and Tyler were sitting in the back looking at us hurriedly get inside. "GO GO GO!", I screamed.

Sam started the car and turned it around, "Get the map, its probably in the dashboard", Sam said. "Look for Talpes mountains."

I opened the dashboard and found a map of this region. I looked for the Talpes mountains, they were in the East. There was also a trail leading to an old ruined temple.

"Is this it?", I said showing him the map. "Preak. I need to focus on driving, there's quite a lot of people behind us if you notice.", Sam said calmly. "Will we be okay?", I heard a shrill voice from the backseat, it was Tyler. I heard her speak for the first time.

"We'll be fine", Sam said.

I looked back, there were 3 buggies and 7 black SUVs behind us. "Quite overkill for 2 kids, a dog that can run a super speed, and a kid who can also run at super speed, mind telling me where you learnt that trick, I'd also like to learn it", I said.

"Wait wait, a dog, super speed? A kid, super speed? What are you talking about?", Sam asked.

"The time when you punched Seii, after covering like 3 steps in a millisecond, super speed, duh"

"I- I, don't know exactly what happened, I just wanted to punch him, and when I got up, I was suddenly in front of him and my fists were like glowing, white, yes- white, white for a moment before I punched him, and it was so powerful, and it didn't even hurt me, like when you punch someone hard, it hurts on your knuckles, but this time it didn't, that white glow was some kind of shield and a power booster... "

"Okay. Seems legit, so... we need to do something about that parade behind us.", I said.

"I will just have to keep driving"

"Take the first exit you see, then keep going on that road till we reach a village, then we will have to figure out where this path to the temple starts"

"Wait wait, we have to figure out where the path is?", Sam said with confusion.

"Yes"

"Then we will have to stop the car to search fo- ", Sam said as I interrupted him saying, "Just, just ram through anything you see and keep going east"

"Umm- they are getting closer", Tyler from the back said as Enter barked at the SUVs. They were certainly gaining on us, we needed to do something.

"Take the wheel", Sam said.

"Uh okay"

I got up and sat in his seat as he switched with me by sliding onto mine. He then climbed into the back then reached in the trunk and grabbed something out. It was massive machine gun.

"Holy crap! Where'd find this?", I asked as I looked at it through the rear view mirror.

"It was just lying around in the Loot Mansion, so I packed it up before I saw Linda's... ", Sam said as he opened the window and sat on it with his head outside, then climbed on top of the car, he still had the full body armor equipped. He reached down to grab the machine gun and stood up.

"Stop chasing us!", Sam screamed as he let the devil unroll. Bullets started hitting the SUVs, puncturing their tires and exploaded a few of them. Sam unloaded the whole clip, but we didn't have any more ammunition for it so he hurled the heavy gun towards them hitting the driver of one of the few SUVs still chasing us.

Soon we could see the jeeps taking over and the SUVs disappeared. I took the first exit and we were in a relatively narrow path as it led to the village at the foots of Talpes mountains. Two of the jeeps tried to get through the exit together and ended up getting stuck, the rest of them just rammed through them freeing them.

The jeeps were almost as fast as us if not slower because they weren't gaining on us like the SUVs were. I saw the mountains in front of me, they were brown-green at the bottom and white, pure white at the top, filled with pure snow. This will be interesting
