Chapter 3

I woke up and got my clothes on for school.

After that I went down stairs and ate a sandwich. I got up early so I could play a game before the bus came. I heard footsteps from the distance. I couldn't move because I was terrified. I forced myself to move but it hurt every time I moved my leg. I went to go sit behind the dining table. When I got there I had to sit down because my legs hurt. I saw legs walking the house. I went to go look over the table to see who it was. I had my phone just in case that it was a killer. When I looked I saw who it was. It was my dad. "Hey, dad",I said. "Ahhhh!",he said in terrified voice. "Oh,it was you. You scared me to death son",He said. "You scared me too,dad",I said. "I didn't know you got out at this time",I said. "Please don't do that again son",he said. " I always get out at this time son",he said. "Let's agree that we both don't do this again", I said. "Okay", he said with a laugh. "Bye", we both said with a laugh. I went and turned on the tv and play a game,but when I turned on the tv it was on the news. I started to listen to the news. I heard that a kid was missing from a family that was not to far from here. That's when I turned it off. I turned on my game so I could get my mind off of it, but that was not working. I had it stuck in my head forever.

The bus was outside so I ran to go get my book bag and lunch. I ran outside and got on the bus. I waited till the bully got on the bus, but he never got on the bus. I was thinking if it was just my lucky day. I started to remember from the news that a kid was missing from his family. I don't think anything happen to him,but I'm going to start having my mind on this all day. I don't think it was him on the news because that would be too much of a coincidence. We got to school and I see my mom again. As soon I get back home I'm going to go see what they are not telling me. I went in school to go get me breakfast."Hey", I hear from behind me. I knew it was Eliza because of her voice. "Hey", I said while waiting to go get breakfast." Did you hear about the incident about the kid that went missing", she said. "Yeah, so I guess you watch the news too", I said. "Yeah, it's one of my favorite things to do",she said. "Roomers say it was the boy that was about to punch you",she said. " Maybe he ran away or got killed",she said. "I hope not because god know what's going to happen to him if he ran away",I said."Maybe he deserved it", Eliza said. "It doesn't matter, murder is still murder" I said."I have to go see you later", I said when I saw the clock."Don't forget that I'm in the same class as you", Eliza said. I totally forgot that she was in the every class as me. Now I have to have to be in the same exact class and her probably beside me. We made it to class and sat down. Eliza sat down next to me like I said she would. The teacher called my name. "Ma'm", I said. " I need you to do something again. "What is it", I said confused. "There's another girl I need you to take around the school", the teacher said."again", I said. "Yeah", she said. That's when I heard Eliza say something."Can I go too", Eliza said. "Yes since you are new too, and you can talk to her about how it's been here", she said."Ok",she said. I was confused at that point. I guess she wanted another friend. We walked out the door, and saw her walking this way. "Hey", Eliza said."Hey", the new girl said softly. Eliza was happy about that she got to get a new friend and not just me. " let me see your schedule please", I said. "Okay, here you go", she said."Thanks", I said. Half of her classes was with us. "Hey, Eliza",I said. "Yeah", Eliza said confused."Half of her classes is with us", I said happily. "That's good",Eliza said."Okay let's get going", I said."Okay", they both said. Don't think I don't remember that the boy got killed or ran away. It was stuck in my head forever. "Where did you move from?",Eliza asked." I moved from town. "Oh okay, so what's your name?", Eliza asked. "Kaden and I forgot to asked each other for almost a day", Eliza said laughing. "My name is Kacey", she said."Cool", Eliza said with a smile. "Is Kaden always quiet", she said."I don't know" Eliza said. "Let's get to class", I said."Okay", they said.

It was time for gym now. Eliza and I were at my group. "What are y'all doing", I said." Hey Kaden, we were playing rock,paper,scissors.", Mark said. "Let's play sticks", Eliza said. " What is that game", I asked. My friends and I had a confused on our face."Yeah, what is that game", Mark said." We never heard of that game ", Austin said. "It's where everybody has one finger pointing forward. When it's your turn you can pick a finger that the enemy has and increase the fingers they are holding by how much you were holding. You have to try and get them to exactly five", Eliza said. "When you have one hand pointing then that hand is gone", Eliza said. "Okay then let's play", I said. "Yeah", my friends said.

When we went to go to the buses Eliza came up to me. "Hey, what are you doing", Eliza said walking op to me. " I'm just going home and doing whatever", I answered. " Can I come with you? My mom said I could if I wanted to", she said. "Sure", I said. She smiled and hugged me. I had a red face because I never hugged somebody before. " Hey", I heard from the school. It was Kacey. " Can I come too", she asked running up to us?"Sure", I replied. We go on the bus and started to go to my house.
