Training begins

Feeling like his head had been smashed using a rock, and a headache, Kai woke up a saw that he was in his cave. This place had been his home for 10 years. He started to look around as he tried to stand up, but couldn't feel any strength in his legs.

"Don't try to do anything funny, your body is currently very weak."

Looking around to see where the sound came from, he saw that Daoma was beside him.

"What happened?" Asked Kai.

"You have been unconscious for three days because you lost too much blood, and because of magic deficiency. Your body is currently in a weak state and your magic origin is drained out. It will probably take a year for them to recover completely, but don't worry. Your magic pool is full, so currently you are an ordinary Magic Master. As for your blood loss, I've ordered your followers to look for some herbs to help you recover faster.

Seriously. You make people worry when you use all your magic and a third of your blood. You should thank the heavens that you are even able to live and speak.

For now, rest and don't try to move your body. I will make some medicine. After that, eat some food and water."

Seven days later.

"Yes, yes, do it again. Try to maintain that state."

It had already been three days since Kai's body had fully recovered, but his magic origin was still dried up, so he currently had the magic power of the Magic Master level. Taking this chance, master Daoma started to train him to control his magic power and to teach him magic. He wanted to go see his parents, but due to Daoma saying that for a short time his magic wasn't a problem, but for a long time he was a moving disaster, made him first train his magic power and learn to control it.

It had already been 2 hours since he was maintaining a sitting position, trying to meditate, as Daoma looked for a different way to distract him.

"Ohhhh... I cannot take it anymore. Master, please tell me some real magic spells and arts. What in the world will I do with only meditation and all?" Said Kai as he looked at Daoma with an irritated expression.

Looking at Kai's expression, Daoma went back into deep thinking and turned to look towards the sky.

"Kai, your mind and emotions are still not within your control even though they are yours, but you want to control magic power that belongs to the world? How can a person, who is not in control of himself, command the power of the world? Doing so will only create destruction and chaos, so you must first learn to control yourself. Other things will come later."

"But master, I am a magic user. To command magic and use it, I have a mage root, so why do I have to train my mental strength?" Kai asked, looking at Daoma.

"Kai, magic power is a type of power. While it's within your control, it's good, but if it's taking over you, you will lose yourself within it. In a short period, it will make you powerful, but at the cost of losing yourself to it.

Every magic attribute has its own nature. It can create, as well as destroy until its nature is in balance, but when it enters your body, it becomes a part of you and it tries to transform you into its nature.

Even the ten Magic Emperors were no exception since they lost themselves to the lust for power. As my student, I don't want you to turn out like them, so you must attain a state of nothingness. Before you reach it, I will only teach you non-attribute magic since it has no side effects on your personality."

Hearing master Daoma, Kai became silent and again started to meditate to attain the state of nothingness.

Looking at Kai starting to meditate, Daoma smiled. "My foolish student., to attain a state of nothingness is nowhere easy. Even I took thousands of years, but maybe you can attain it earlier, as you are not corrupted by the ugliness of human nature."

Just like that, one year passed by as Kai meditated and learnt non-attribute magic. In this one year, Kai never complained and listened to all of Daoma's instructions as the day drew near for his departure and the beginning of his new journey.
