Paul vs Rudeus

[Morning]

in backyard of the Greyrat family, Paul and Rudeus are standing in front of each other with wooden swords in their hands.

Zenith and Lilia are standing a little bit far on the side.

there is a gentle and soft wind in the air with the warm temperature of the morning

"you known, there is nothing to gain from this fight" Rudeus tried to convince his father to stop this fight as he is lazy to fight in the beginning of the morning " let's just stop and go eat breakfast "

"this fight is very important... with this I will decide to either let you continue your training alone or I will train you" Paul was very serious about his son's training " I need to see if your fighting style is strong or not"

"but I don't want to fight" complained Rudeus

"stop nagging, how about this, you will win if you managed to land hit on my body"

"that's it" Rudeus was surprised as he thought in his mind ' just one hit... that's easy to do'

" get your self ready " said Paul to Rudeus

Paul stepped three steps back, taking a fighting stance with his wooden sword in his right hand in front of his chest

Knowing that there is no changing his mind, Rudeus took his stance to fight, but unlike his father, his sword is a little back on the side of his body

"what is that stance... you are full of openings" Paul was confused about this as his was more convinced that his son need guidance in his training

Rudeus didn't answer his father and just kept standing in his position looking at Paul with calm eyes

the father and son looked at each other intensely making the warm atmosphere around them colder, even Zenith and Lilia felt that

the first one to make a move is Paul as he dashed at his son with his top speed, of course Rudeus didn't just wait for him,he also dashed at his father.

Clashing with their swords creating a little shockwave of air as they struggle to push the other down

Rudeus know that this isn't in his favor as Paul is both physically taller and stronger, so he used more strength to push Paul from him creating a chance for him to retreat back off.

Paul was shocked ' his physical strength is no weaker than mine'

Paul recovered very fast from his shock and continued his attack

Paul strategy was to exhaust Rudeus out and dominant him with strength.

they kept exchanging blows but no one could land a hit on the other.

but of course both of them weren't using their full strength.

Paul looked at Rudeus and said " indeed, you are strong but I wonder about your skill"

Paul judged that this fight will be determined with skills not just physical strength.

he strengthened his grip on the wooden sword getting ready to attack

' show me the power of the water god sword style' Rudeus was very curious about his father fighting style.

Rudeus attacked his father from below with an upper cut from his sword

Paul used his sword to redirect rudeus's sword to the side making Rudeus body open to attack

Paul took the chance to land a hit, unfortunately he was slower than rudeus as he steeped to side avoiding his father attack, this time making Paul's body open.

Rudeus punched his Paul into his liver sending him back a few inches.

Paul was surprised from what just happened

' not only he knew how to fight with a sword but also with his body...good'

" so I landed a hit, I win... can we stop now, I'm hungry you know" meeting his father's condition to win Rudeus declared his win

" what!! when did i say such thing let's continue. " Paul very shamelessly said he want to continue but in truth he didn't want to admit to his defeat

hearing this Rudeus sighed and extended his left hand as it glowed with light.

Paul was surprised from his action, but unknown to him both of his feet started to sink in the ground

" W-what is this, GAH!!" Paul tried to escape but his feet wouldn't move, he kept on sinking until half of his body was underground

"oi Rudeus, get me out of here"

Paul asked Rudeus to get him out, but Rudeus didn't answer him as went to his mother and Lilia

" ara! Rudy-chan is strong " Zenith was happy that her son did win and she felt even proud that he was this strong just in 5 years old

"Congratulations young master" Lilia as usual congratulated with an expressionless face but inside she was very happy

" mom I am very hungry "

"of course baby let's make you something to eat"

Rudeus, Zenith and Lilia got inside if the house ignoring Paul who was screaming for help in the backyard
