Today was not a good day for Shen Hong.

The elders he has previously send to 'take care' of the Shen couple have yet to report back. And it's not only the elders.

It seems that the members of the Dark Guild that have gone with them have also failed to report back.

Black lines started to appear on Shen Hong's face as he started to think of the various possibilities.

What if something happened to them? Were they killed, or even worse, captured?

And if that was not enough, if the Sacred family were to lose so many of their core members overnight, their foundation would be shaken to the very core.

It would take years to recover. And even then, they would first need to survive till then.

Not to even speak of the meaning behind their failuare.

After all, if so many Dark Gold realm Demon Spiritualis were to fail...

Two Dark Gold could not deal with a team that is made of over fifteen dark gold members. Even if they were to be at the peak of the Dark Gold realm and had a perfect synergy in combat.

No, the only possible option would be... if both were to enter Legend realm.

As he was continuing this train of thought. regret was starting to fill him even more.

Do not get him wrong. He did not regret sending them after all precautions have been taken in case of capture.

Entering the room was nonother then Shen Fei.

A look of expectation and lust could be seen on his face.

"Good morning, father. How was it, when will I be able to have that Xiao Ning'er?"

Just from a look at the teen, anyone would be able to see that he was an idiot that only taught with his lover half while relying on his family background to have his ways.

Looking at this son of his, Shen Hong can't help but let out a frustrated sigh.

"Can you not think of anything besides that girl from the Winged Dragon family?"

Hearing this, Shen Fei blokes for a moment. But then, he answers with 'passion', that one couldn't help but be impressed if only the subject was any other then the current one.

"Father, you must understand! The girl is the best I have ever seen! Those I have played with till now, can't even hold a candle to her!!! So what if she's a member of the Winged Dragon family, no matter how hight they think of themselves, they still can't even hold a candle to our sacred family!"

"That, and the bitch is quite close to that piece of garbage Shen Wang! Hmph! I can barely wait to see his face once I've broken her into my personal little whore!"

By the end of his speech, insanity could practically be seen in Shen Fei's eyes.

As for Shen Hong, he did not know what to think. A part of him was 'slightly' disturbed by what Shen Fei's little speech, while another bigger part of him agreed with his son's thoughts.

Although considering his position and all the sacrifices and blood he has spilled to reach it and hold on to it, he has developed a clear and patient mind. He was an old fox, as such he knew that things did not always work as simple as one would want.

Shaking his head, Shen Hong answers Shen Fei.

"Unfortunately I was not able to force an engagement between you and Xiao Ning'er. The Winged Dragon family's patriarch was quite opposed to this, although I was able to have a 'talk' with Xiao Yi, and elder of the Winged Dragon family, and elder brother of their patriarch, Xiao Yunfeng. He should be able to 'convince' the other elders that an engagement between their heiress and you, Shen Fei, is what the Winged Dragon family truly needs right now." (A/N: The poor fool...)

A sickening laughter could be heard from outside the room the two were in. Unfortunately for Shen Hong, it seems that his interaction with his son has made him forget the more important problem at hand, like the elders that have yet to return.

Currently in the City Lord's mansion.

Ye Ziyun and Shen Wang have just entered the dining room, where the parent's of the two were waiting for them to eat breakfast together.

A surprise was the fact that Shen Wang's parents were not supposed to be there. They had just left two days ago and were not supposed to be back for another few days. The subtle tension on the air was not missed by both Ye Ziyun and Shen Wang.

As the two were walking towards the dining table, they forgot that they were still holding hands, and did not let go even when they sat together, on the opposite side of their parents.

But of course, while the two did not feel anything misplaced, Shen Tiankong, Shen Xiannu, Ye Zong and Ye Guang, have seen everything. The four of them couldn't help but grin.

And how could they not, the teasing material they just got was so rich! They could practically teas them for weeks with this!

The previous tension going completely away.

As for the two teens, well, let's just say that they had no idea what was waiting for them in the following weeks. Although, this could be considered a good thing, as it would be the final push for their relationship between the three to become 'official'.
