PAST

Sans finds himself standing in the middle of a sea of grass. Etim beside him lying down asleep.

His eye turns blue as he looks at Etim, but eventually, it dims and he becomes normal again.

"Well then, Etim, where are we." He looks toward the sky, not seeing the familiar cave like he was used to. It was like he was back in the PERFECT ENDING, before all the genocide routes.

Etim yawns pulling himself up and he looks around. Seeing only Sans nearby. Sans looks at Etim. "You are awake. How are you?"

Etim smiles and waves at Sans, not saying a word. Then Etim gets up and starts spinning around.

Sans looks at the kid, "What is wrong with you?" Then Etim falls down because he was dizzy.

Sans' comes to Etim and grabs him by the chin, "Can you talk?" Etim tilts his head, confused.

Sans lets go and stands up. "The guy goes and kills everything randomly decides to send me back in time, and then he sends a kid with no knowledge. The kid's eyes were incredibly pure compared to his as well. I don't understand it." Sans shrugs, "Etim! Hold on, we are taking a shortcut." Sans grabs Etim as he's trying to spin again, and teleports away.

They then find themselves on the exit of Mt Ebott. Where the barrier lies. Etim immediately heads into the caves spinning as he goes. "He really likes to spin." He shrugs. Then heads in with Etim until they reach it. The Barrier. As they approach it True appears once more. "Welcome to the past Sans." He glances at Etim. "It looks like I didn't put enough intelligence in Etim, oh well he will grow." He looks at the barrier. "The Barrier needs a human soul to pass through, But. If I followed the rules it would be an unrealistic thing to someone of my standards. I've altered reality a bit and made it where you two could enter and leave at will. You two enjoy yourselves down there. I'm definitely going to enjoy watching this all godown."

"Why don't you destroy the barrier?"

"If I'm pleased, I might."

Then True disappears. Sans shrugs, picking up Etim and bringing him through the barrier.

(I need to find the Dreemurs.) Sans thinks as he walks through the tunnel slowly approaching New Home. Etim points at everything, his eyes glowing like stars. Sans ignores him as he approaches the palace. "CHARA IS DYING ASGORE! YOU THINK DECLARING WAR IS THE ANSWER?!"

(Chara is dying? Am I too late?) "Hold on Etim, we are taking another shortcut." Then they were gone again. Sans looked at Chara and Asriel, as they slept on their beds, both so close to death. Etim hopped off of Sans head and runs to them. (How am I supposed to stop Chara and Asriel from dying? Couldn't he have given me more info?) Etim raises his hand over Chara, and his green soul comes out of his body. Then liquid green drops onto Chara's shattered soul. Sans watches. (He did give me something. A healer.) Chara's soul slowly reforms. After a moment Etim puts his hands down and heads to Asriel. Repeating the exact same action. Sans watches as the cracks within the souls slowly fill up and start to reform. "I suppose we wait now Etim." Sans looks at Etim, who collapsed on the floor and was in deep sleep. Sans comes and picks the child up, then sits on one of the chairs to the sides, and sleeps.
