Noon. The clouds on the blue sky moving with the wind currents. The sun was burning hot.

The breeze and the shade provided by the copice of molave trees make the school's park cooler. Terrell and Eirwyn hanging out on a gazebo of the park.

They split the newly cooked pancakes into half and shared it. They were still frugal even they possessed plenty of money, or not.

"Damn, we earned 18,000 pesos but we only have 6 pesos left?" Terrell complained as he took a bite.

Eirwyn checked his inventory. He didn't actually know how to convert in-game currency into real money.

"Terrell, did you noticed your bag was empty?" Eirwyn asked.

"Uhm... yeah." Terrell nodded as he chewed the pancake.

"I think our stuff and money were placed inside the inventory." Eirwyn scratched his chin.

"Yeah, I think so." Terrell nodded again.

"Did you remember about your 'dream' last night? You told me that you were talked to a bird, is it true?" Eirwyn asked Terrell, his expression was serious.

"Hmm... yeah. I remember, I was at Stratus Isle or something and this bird called Wren spoke to me. It told me to choose a class and explained to me but I can't remember all that it said." Terrell told Eirwyn as he recalled about it.

"Actually, I also had a strange dream last night. I talked to a bird, its name was Wren." Eirwyn furrowed.

"Woah you too? It is amazing, right? Tell me about your dream." Terrell was energetic when he found out their situation was the same.

"I don't want to remember it, that experience was scary." Eirwyn shook his head.

"Well, our dream last night and this strange situation have something a connection in between." Eirwyn deduced.

"I believe the dream was real. If not, how we can explain about this odd wristband and the inventory simillar to a video game?" Eirwyn added.

"I agree! My dream last night was too realistic. I even remember the smell of the flowers from that place. Let's settle this, we are a game character in the real world!" Terrell understood and he slammed his fist on the concrete table from excitement.

"However, I don't know how to get the items from the inventory." Eirwyn lowered his head and dejected.

"Why not you try to pull it out from the screen then?" Terrell suggested.

"... Nice idea! But how am I gonna do it?" Eirwyn scratched his head.

"Uhm... well I needed a pen a while ago and noticed something was wrong since my bag was empty. I was ashamed to borrow a pen from my seatmate, so I touched this and a window popped out and saw the inventory and opened it."

Terrell touched the wristband and selected 'Ballpoint Pen x1' from his inventory as he recreated what he did from before. Suddenly a pen formed from white particles while Terrell pulled it out from the inventory window.

"..." Eirwyn was speechless as he stared at Terrell's right hand.

"What can you say about it? It's cool right?" Terrell smiled.

"Ugh, I'm so stupid!" Eirwyn scratched his head using both of his hands.

Eirwyn racked his brains as he thought what to do. Suddenly he got an idea.

Eirwyn opened his inventory.

'Cling!'

"So this is how it works, huh." Eirwyn grinned.

"If I selected 'No', a silver coin will show up." He muttered.

"Hey! I'm still hungry, can we buy more food?" Terrell was excited as he saw to a bill and insisted Eirwyn.

"Alright, alright." Eirwyn closed the windows and stood up. Terrell followed after.

In the school cafeteria, the food stalls were crowded with students to buy snacks and lunch, they didn't even form a proper queue and some even cause a ruckus to cut in the line.

Terrell and Eirwyn stood far away from the commotion.

"I'll buy a burger. What do you want?" Eirwyn asked Terrell.

"Hmm... buy me a burger too. I want to taste it." Terrell licked his lips.

"Okay." Eirwyn walked through the crowd and shoved as he pushed a student away.

"Oh crap, it's Ferrer!" A guy yelped.

"Is it the poor guy who lived in shanties?"

"Yeah, he is an orphan and does anything awful to survive."

"Oh, he was quite good looking, what a shame."

"Why are you interested in him? I heard from the rumors, he always picking up trash at the landfill!"

"Eeeew. Hahahaha!" The group of girls laughed.

Other students heard the gossips and avoided Eirwyn.

Eirwyn didn't care about it. He was used to it and ignored it. It was even convenient that they gave way to him.

"Auntie, can I buy two burgers please." He took out a 1,000 peso bill.

The students stood beside Eirwyn saw the bill and were dumbfounded.

"Okay. Here, also your change." The shopkeeper handed over 2 burgers and gave 975 pesos as a change.

"Thanks." Eirwyn received the burgers and change, then he walked away and leave.

Eirwyn walked back towards and stood beside Terrell. He gave a burger to him.

"Hahahaha! Their reactions were fascinating!" Terrell snickered.

"Hmmm... yeph. Wap a bansh uh ihdyots." Eirwyn chewed and savored the burger while he talked to Terrell.

Eirwyn handed over the change to Terrell. It vanished on Terrell's palm. A 5 peso coin remained on his hand.

Terrell looked at the phenomenon with awe. He disregarded it afterward and took a bite on his burger.

"Hmm... this is delicious!" Terrell was delighted, it was a long time ago when the last time he ate a burger.
