Chapter 2: My house!

Lucca was hoping it would be one of those times where the giant shadow ended up being a little creature blocking the sun from high up however, as he slowly looked up he realized he was very, right! what was making the shadow was indeed a tiny little thing, it was a little golden monkey looking curiously at him sitting high up on .... ... the shoulder of a giant golden ape. The giant creature was at least twice the size of the little castle. It was looking curiously at the little obsidian home as the golden hair that covered its body shined in the sunlight giving it a holy look.

*gulp* Lucca just stared wide eyed at the creature praying that either it went away or the little castles defense could hold it back.

The giant slowly moved closer giving Lucca a better look. Its footsteps made indentations on the forest ground. From how long its arms were, he looked more like an orangutan. On its shoulder there was a little thing holding on to the golden fur it was a much smaller golden orangutan, it looked like it was its kid.

Lucca's eyes lit up ´were they just taking a nice family walk? maybe they aren't aggressive!´

The big golden primate curiously stared at the jet black little box surrounded by walls that had appeared in his territory overnight, not only that but there was a human there too! when was the last time he saw a human in this forest? 100 years? 200? it was when they started a war with the magical beasts trying to expand their land however, we thought they learned their lesson once they were beaten until they decided it wasn't worth it any longer and ran away with their tails between their legs.

He had seen human houses before as well but never one like this, the walls weren't just black they didn't reflect light whatsoever. it looked like the night sky with without any stars. The big ape reached out and put his hand on the cold hard surface, feeling the cool temperature even in this hot summer day his eyes instantly lit up.

`What a good thing! even in this heat it still stays nice and cool!´ the big golden ape thought to himself.

He had decided to take it back with him and put it in his nest, Lucca however was completely ignored. Humans strength mostly came from numbers so he treated this single human as he would an ant by the side of the road.

Slowly he reached out to grab the little castle, and just as his hands were going over the wall the shield showed itself and pushed the apes hand away with force.

Startled, the big golden ape jumped back and screeched loudly as the little monkey did his best to hold on. Once it calmed down it walked back up to the little obsidian home frowning, he looked extremely unhappy. The golden ape raised both his arms above the little castle and his muscles started to bulge.

´oh no!` Lucca thought to himself ``Wait!!´´ he screamed out but he was once again completely ignored.

´i just bought this house!` Lucca thought as his eyes started to water.

Its powerful arms quickly came down smashing into the shield and though it didn't break there was a large crack left behind, the giant ape however was sent flying backwards and smashing into a couple of trees, the little monkey that was on his shoulder had fallen off when he was thrown back and was rubbing his butt in front of the little castles gate.

Seeing at the big crack that was slowly healing on the shield, Lucca that was also thrown onto the floor by the shock wave of the attack was surprised ´what an amazing little castle!!´ but he knew it couldn't hold up for too long. The crack was indeed healing but it was extremely slow, if it was smashed one more time it might actually break.

Lucca suddenly got an idea, he opened the gate and ran to the little monkey who was startled frozen seeing the human run towards him.

The giant ape was slowly leaning up from the ground while rubbing his head when he saw the human ruining toward his child.

``ROOAARR!´´ A powerful voice left its mouth as it warned the human but it had only stopped for a second before he kept going

`HE DARES?!´ the ape fumed in anger as he jumped off the ground he was about to dash towards them but the human stopped in front of the little monkey and a strange yellow object had appeared on the floor, he then turned around and ran back into the gates leaving behind the two confused apes.

Though he was still somewhat confused the ape ran to the little monkey and put his hand down in front of him, however, the little monkey didn't move from his spot. His eyes were fixed at the yellow object in front of him. The big ape frowned and grabbed the little one and put it on his shoulder away from the strange object the human had left behind.

Though he had never seen anything like it for some reason he wanted to grab it, it was as if his instincts were urging him. The big ape walked closer and sniffed, a very faint aroma tickled his nostrils. He felt his mouth start to water to the point he started to drool. Wiping his mouth with his arm he got a little closer and touched it with his fingers but nothing happened. The ape couldn't fight it anymore and suddenly grabbed the strange fruit which fit perfectly in his palm. The ape held up the fruit and looked at it from side to side. ´I've never seen such a thing before, but why i feel so familiar with it??´ He thought scratching his head.

The ape threw all caution to the wind as he just let his body do what it wanted to do. He started to peel the giant yellow fruit with movements so fluid it looked completely natural as he slowly opened the fruit peel by peel and every time he pulled one down the aroma would get stronger and stronger. This time he no longer held back and let the the saliva drip on to the ground. Once it was completely peeled the ape put it up to his mouth and bit a small chunk from the top. He was very careful not to take too big of a bite as he wanted it to last for as long as possible. The Sharp teeth the size of an arm cut into the tip and he slowly started to chew and move it around his mouth taking in all of the taste. His eyes suddenly started to water unconsciously, he had just realized that there was indeed something missing in his life and he had finally found it.

looking at the comical sight of a giant golden ape tearing up as he slowly ate a banana piece by piece and the little monkey on his shoulder that was drooling onto his fur while watching him eat made Lucca smile and sigh in relief.

´thank god that worked, that giant banana is a spiritual plant and cost me 15 HC! That's almost as much as one of those big mansions... after spending so much money if it didn't work i might as well have fed myself to him´ Lucca thought as he could feel his intestines turn green `15 HC for one banana? this is straight up robbery! I'm going to write an angry letter, how do i send it?´.

The big ape only finished half of the banana before he stopped, he used the peels to close it up as he wanted to save it for later. The big ape was now very interested in that human that could make this food, a food made for him! no, a food made for all apes! the most surprising thing however was that this yellow fruit was full of mana!

`what good stuff!´ the giant though as he held up the last half of the banana towards the sun.

The big ape once again went up to the walls of the little obsidian castle but this time he didn't look aggressive any longer, he instead used motions with his hands trying to communicate with Lucca and though Lucca was a little slow the ape himself was very smart and they were soon able to understand each other. The golden ape had allowed Lucca to stay in his territory but he had to pay him in bananas, at first he wanted one a day but Lucca quickly refused, he explained how hard it was to get them so in the end they made a deal of one banana per month and not only could he stay here but the golden ape would protect him as well, it was very confused on how it went from one banana a day to that but he still agreed scratching his head. Lucca patted himself on the back, he was used to bargaining for things back on earth and had it almost down to a science.

´Wait a minute ..... is this what paying tax feels like?.... it kinda sucks doesn't it?´ He could feel his heart bleeding but at least he now had some kind of protection in this world. Lucca had to quickly find a way to make more money or he might get thrown out when he could no longer afford the giant bananas.
