Story Time

It seems Shuhang didn't even have to do anything at all. The True Illusion actually came to an end all on it's own. Looking at the source of said True Illusion, Venerable White, Shuhang was greeted by the sight of an absent-minded and confused face. It is almost like he just woke up from a really important 'dream' yet can't seem to remember the details that mattered. That must be really frustrating.

Rin: "Finally! I'm back! What in the [Root] was that!? The 'reverse side' of the world? How can that be? Isn't this already THE 'reverse side'? It's definitely not an illusion... I can still feel feel the sands in my socks!"

Speaking of being frustrated... Shuhang turned to look at the source of the grumbling and complaints, Tohsaka Rin. She was all sort of messy with the ribbons holding up her twintails gone. Her clothes were torn from top-down and was in a pretty risque state actually. She looked pretty angry as she kept pointlessly making theories on what that whole situation was all about.

Right. [Reverse Side] of the world. Even until now, she still hadn't believed in the existence of 'another world' and kept claiming that this is the [Reverse Side]. The only reason why she agreed to come with Shuhang to his world was in fact to do research on this [Reverse Side], something that actually does exist back in the 'Fate' Universe.

Yes. She actually 'agreed' to come voluntarily, and not at all 'kidnapped' like Shuhang had initially planned. She even suggested it to Shuhang himself right before he left. Giving Rin another glance over, he couldn't help but let out another sigh as she kept complaining about something [Reverse Side] or another... even after Sixteen and Doudou kept trying to tell her it was a 7th Stage, Spirit Venerable's True Illusion ability.

To be honest, Shuhang believes that in terms of being a 'genius', this person known as Tohsaka Rin actually doesn't lose to Venerable White at all. What made Venerable White wins out though is the fact that White is actually really open minded to everything he studies. Rin on the other hand, she is completely stuck to what she initially believes. In other words, she is too hard headed which limited her true abilities... by a lot. That and the fact that as a Venerable, White does have a huuuuge advantage when it comes to 'mental capacity' which could easily be fixed once Rin actually starts cultivating this world's [Ancient Witch] practice system.

By that time, she would be able to help Shuhang out in terms of research into making use of all the vast knowledge in his 'Library'. This is also the true reason why he even wanted to bring Rin over as well. It wasn't because he liked her or anything like that. Shuhang had already went passed that stage in his life where he is constantly controlled by his hormones.

Okay... so maybe not completely passed that stage. Him being a 'dragon' and his boosting of the 'regenerative ability' back before he even started to Cultivate properly would normally make him even more susceptible to such thi--cough-- anyways...

This is the reason why he wanted to take with him both Rin and Illya as they would be able to help him out once they become more accustomed to this world and gotten stronger. They will be his technical advisers when it comes to picking/making the best techniques for his current and future servants. Of course Shuhang could do that as well however, It would get waaay too exhausting for him to do so just by himself. Especially so when he constantly find himself with other responsibilities and focus.

Speaking of Illya, she doesn't look like she's hurt much... or rather at all. Seems like his assessment about Berserker is correct. This made her the only person that didn't get sucked into the True Illusion by her lonesome self. For some reason though... Saber and Rider are strangely quiet? Even more than usual in the case of Rider. Shuhang can practically feel the depression oozing out of them. Did something happen in the True Illusion?

Shuhang: "Kuhum. Everyone here must be exhausted. As it is late, why don't you all go freshen up and turn in for now and we can talk more about this tomorrow."

On Shuhang's suggestion, a chorus of agreement resounded while Venerable White was actually still in the same state as before. In fact, a frown seem to have formed at some point in time when Shuhang wasn't paying attention. He didn't want to do this now, but Shuhang couldn't hold himself back. Shuhang reaally really want to know the exact detail of what happened on his fight with the [Apocalypse Dragon].

At that time, Shuhang was really out of it and the memories were a bit fuzzy. Why was there even a fight in the first place at all? Great Red who is usually content to just keep on flying even when others 'attacked' it first all the while ignoring pretty much everything. That kind of dragon actually actively 'fought' him... why? After mentally apologizing to White for doing this now when he seems to be troubled by something, Shuhang called out to his fellow daoist.

"Ah White." said Shuhang as he placed a hand on White's shoulder to get his attention. This seem to have worked as White's body suddenly shook and his 'color's finally returned to his eyes.

White: "Friend Shuhang?"

Shuhang: "Mhm. Sorry to disturb you, but I have something important I needed to ask you. Join me for some tea?"

Perhaps sensing the serious tone in Shuhang's voice, White actually agreed pretty easily to his request. In the next moment, both White and Shuhang disappeared from the living room and reappeared on the roof. Like on the night which loose cultivator Li Tiansu's corpse flew in their direction, there was a pleasant atmosphere as they both enjoyed their respective cup of 'spirit tea', this time brewed by Shuhang instead of White.

After a few minutes of silence, Shuhang finally opened his mouth and asked the question. One that was thinking of the best way to ask.

Shuhang: "Say, you remember that over-sized Red Dragon I fought before right?"

Getting an affirmative nod, Shuhang continued to ask.

Shuhang: "Did you also remember how that 'fight' even started? My memories of that time was a little..."
