Synopsis

Following the death of his popular online persona, seventeen-year-old Suzuki Mato decides it's time to retire from professional VR gaming. However, his plans are abruptly cut short when he's kidnapped from his high school and forced to be a guinea pig for Genaco Gaming, the world's largest esports and entertainment company. Armed with nothing but his wit and a new online persona, he's thrown headfirst into the virtual reality of "Live No Evil," a VRMMORPG littered with overpowered bosses, secretive NPCs, and backstabbing gods. His mission? Find a way to conquer this new world and get back at the company that took over his life, all while avoiding 'Parallel' -- a condition that would make it impossible to separate his real and virtual personalities. Because in a world obsessed with VR gaming, Parallel means death, and Suzuki just doesn't have time for that...

To potential readers, Sometimes, I grapple with what the word "author" means. It's just someone that has published some type of written work, in a way. The word doesn't grasp all the "authors" that I follow the works of are. The word "writer" doesn't do Renoe_K justice, either. "Writers" are just people that form texts from stringing ideas together. It's a better word. It shows how language can be manipulated and molded to communicate concepts. It adds an element of artistry. Still, anyone can be a writer. Many can make it to authorship - that's just a writer of tenacity, resilience, and determination. He is more. The closest I can get is "storyteller." He conveys more than what can be put on paper. He shares journeys. He creates worlds. He makes something from nothing. He expresses in his works emotion, feeling, meaning, something *deeper.* He forms connections that go so much beyond those of ideas; he connects minds, hearts, souls, and spirits. He tells stories. Don't fall victim to his humility.

Hi! Shameless Promotion here! I've been patiently waiting to take the tenth review spot for what feels like forever! Anyway, my name is Renoe_K, a migrating author from a little-known reading site Wattpad. Parallel is a pet project of mine I've been working on for over four years now. I'm currently on the fourth volume, and feedback from thousands of readers have been mostly positive. I hope you guys enjoy this story! I personally love it myself! I've reduced my score to 4.2 because I asked my readers to help with the ratings, and quite a few hit 5.0... So, here's the balance. Anyway, hope you enjoy this novel. Thanks!

I realy would have liked this one as the novel backround is interesting but: 1. Story keep swiching back and forth with diferent people storylines even in the midle of chapters several times. So much that you sometimes get confused who is the mc. 2. I dislike the characters as all of the main characters are bullies/wimps/rude/mistreated good people and strong martial artist who sometimes kill one hit or get taken down 1 hit - thats all at the same time. It realy dont make any sense at all. 3. Women all and I mean all are sexy violent biches. Who like to hit and sexualy harass mc at some point of time at least. 4. There are no ***** characters here. The so caled evil conspirasing adults cry run awey and call baka ... I gave up on adults then. So good side: 1. There are lot of chapters. 2. Spelling/grammar is nice. 3. Story backround is intriguing. 4. There seems to be quit a lot of harcore fans for this novel who probably will rip up this review here.

It started out amazing. The backstory of Razz who then becomes kisha through a series of events. Im invested into this character and choices. Randomly around chapter 20 you introduce a random character Syel. cool interesting. But then you change the MC to him? i do not care about him or shoko whatever. you completly disregarded the chatacter you got us emotionally invested in and forcing someone else down our throat. its like you have a girlfriend invested in and you just cheated on her with random x. Now all you talk about is random x. Ill force myself to keep reading and i will change my opinion if the story gets better. as of now im really trying to not drop this novel.

Imagine my suprise when I saw this here. I started reading this on the previous site. I only stopped reading cause I cant get enough and was thinking of stockpiling the chapters. I guess I will be reading this again. If you want something different, you need to try this. The story and mc is amazing, the author transports you to the world and youll feel that you are part of the story. I love how the story unravels before your eyes ans cant help but feel the emotions and intensity of the story.

My favorite story on wattpad and excited to see it here. I hope it gains traction. this books is a solid read I recommend 100% I really enjoy the world building and how the author keeps the story going by adding in the element for all of the mc’s experiences. Also really enjoy the split personalities.

Starts out with an epic fight that intrigues the reader about the MC and his background/personality. Upon making a new character called Kashi, the MC turns into a cringy cliche anime character that tends to randomly act 'badass' and cause people to quake in their boots, yet becomes a powerless, stuttering potato whenever interacting with the female gender. Author also decides to throw in a second MC who is supposed to be some hyper aggressive hooligan the organization keeps in a jail cell thanks to some sort of government secret human experimentation bs. But this guy ends up being scared of ghosts, and intimidated by whatever woman he interacts with and overall being a total pushover much like the MC. In addition of the story having the typical government conspiracy trope, its overall a very cringy read. Dropped before they even got to piloting the mechs or whatever and detracting from the VRMMO portion of the story.

Wow! The Japanese sure are great aren't they! They are so smart and so incredible, they have the strongest people, I love the Japanese, Japanese 4 ever. Just kidding, if you've read Castle of Black Iron and know the "Hua people" meme then you know what I'm talking about.

Fantasy, Complex Characters, Elves, More Elves, Swords and Sorcery, Video Game, Sci-Fi, Good Writing. If any of those terms interest you - read this novel. As Niyeban wrote in their review, Renoe_K is more than just an author - they are a storyteller. Picture yourself sitting around a campfire as the sky darkens above you and a gentle, warm voice begins to narrate a story to you that as you listen you only become more enthralled. This is that story. It is not a short story, the characters aren't always likeable, the organizations can be good and bad - all of these make it feel like you are hearing a tale about a real world. A short note, the author has multiple characters that have very complex psyche problems either originating from traumas or plot elements - sometimes this can lead the character to do odd things contrary to what is the "logical" choice. I just ask that if you were to put yourself in the characters shoes and live the life that they have lived so far - would you react the "logical" way? For a bit of technical stuff, Renoe_K has, at least for an original author here on Webnovel, one of the best grasps of grammar I've had the absolute pleasure of reading. The stability of updates, as it tends to happens with most original authors, can fluctuate a bit but tends to usually remain consistent at a minimum of 5-7 chapters per week with potentially more which I know how much readers hate - more chapters to read, "Ugh" right? However, as noted in Renoe's summary they've been writing this for over 4 years and have been bringing it over to Webnovel so the 5-7 chapters is likely to stay pretty close to the actual release schedule (its currently Christmas time and there are still a standard 7 chapters per week rate right now). The chapters, despite the author's note, are not necessarily lengthy as you will read one and before you know it be 4 chapters later on a cliffhanger telling yourself you need to leave for _______ and you have to stop reading after just this one more chapter... We've all been there - this novel just brings you back to those days. On a final note, I can't wait to see where Renoe will take us throughout this world that we are allowed to travel through. Please keep up the good work author-san and to my fellow readers - lets enjoy the journey. :)

Once I start reading volume 1 in previous site, I'm unable to stop. Please read this story if you love good main character development with interesting supporting characters. Reading this novel feels like you are transport to Parallel world itself. The story narrative and how the author tell the adventure of Kashi and friends is simply wonderful. Its hard to find flaw or weakness.

Absolutely fantastic book, very well crafted characters and a great backstory/world. At times there are 'parallel' stories going on and there are almost 'parallel' MCs (beyond Kashi etc that js). This book really capture this parallel theme and does it in a beautiful way. Moreover, don't be fooled by the low number of chapters, each chapter is very long and it's more like the books has 500+ chapters tbh - took me long enough to read at least! Again, can't praise this book enough. It's immensely very written and a pleasure to read :)
