Aster's woke up groggy and slow to comprehend his surroundings.
The room was built for a king and it was easy to see that by the extravagant scenery made of expensive materials, marble, gold, gems, and silk. Aster was lost in the wonder of it all it being a stark contrast to what he was used to. He grew up with nothing so now being surrounded by everything seen in palaces left him in a stupor.
The bed felt like a cloud and Aster assumed he could lay there all day without a problem. The well-endowed female beside him was a great benefit, oh the wonders of the rich. Her big and dark eyes were staring intently at him as he took in the marvel of the room.
Wait...
"You're awake." She stated with a slight smile but with the rest of her features, the room paled in comparison.
"Huh?" Aster was slow to escape his stupor and could only answer with a noise.
"It's a shock isn't?" She giggled at his response as if it was to her expectation.
He nodded, at this time he still hadn't taken in her beauty. Her hair poured down her back with the color and intensity of a bottle of Montoya Cabernet. Her skin a matching tone to the white jade that decorated the room her skin only slightly darker than the sheets. He felt dizzy as he stared at her intoxicating smile. All of this was outside of his expectations and there never a thought in his mind that he would meet such a girl.
"I'm Lilith."
"I'm Ast-" As he tried to state his name he experienced a throbbing headache to the point of being unable to extend out his hand to shake her own.
"Tsk, Tsk," She rubbed her long index fingers over top one another and gave Aster a warning, "You can't give your real name so willingly. Your title is Satan and that is what you will be called. I stopped you from making the mistake this time, but do keep my warning in mind." Her voice was angry but her lips still held that same smile.
"Thank you, there is still much to learn. What was your connection to the previous Satan?"
"I was his, and now your wife. Much like with your situation the title of Lilith follows the same fate."
Aster lifted his hand and looked down at his ring finger there he found a platinum band with red diamonds embedded in it.
"I'm married?"
"Yes, you are." At her answer she removed herself from the sheets and walked over to the closet to put on a set of clothes; Aster followed suit.
Lilith didn't hide her body as the two changed and it multiple times distracted Aster from the task at hand.
The two were eventually changed and Aster was in a full vermillion suit with a matching shirt and black tie. Lilith was in a matching vermillion dress with a net-like bottom covered sporadically in red gems.
She turned back to him and it was visible to see that he stood a good foot taller than her, "Who do you see?"
"What do you mean? I see you." He was perplexed at her question, there was only her and himself in the room.
"No, what I mean is how am I seen to you? Everyone views me differently." She released a jubilant laugh at his confusion. He went on to describe her the way previously mentioned.
"So that's your dream girl..." There was a pause as she let out a chuckle. Aster heard her comment but didn't deny it, as he knew it to be true.
She continued, "How are you with riddles?"
"Does the King Of Hell have to advocate his throne to those more worthy?"
"Then, if a man is left in a box with no windows, doors, and only has a mirror and table how does he escape?"
"He looks in the mirror and saw the saw; he took the saw and sawed the table in half. Two took the halves and made a whole, he then crawled out the hole." He came up with the answer without thought.
"A girl lives in a house with her parents. There is a cellar door in the house, and her parents warn her to never, ever, open it because she's not ready to see what's behind it.
What is on the other side of the door that her parents don't want her to see?"
"The girl is locked in the cellar." There was still no hesitation.
"Tell me what it is that women desire most, above all else."
Aster opened his mouth but froze before answering.
"That isn't a riddle." Aster refuted, face contorted in a slight scorn.
"Is it not?"
"I don't know the answer if that is the only information to the question, there are too many answers." Aster could only shake his head in defeat.
"Then we will have the closer, this lady you see before can only b beside you at one time of day. Be she fair by day and foul at night or fair at night and foul by day. Which do you choose?"
"There is not a perfect answer, be you, you, during the day would be a gift of queens to the point of envy but at night I couldn't bear. To have you foul during the day would my the eye of humiliation and night wouldn't make my heart less sour."
"Do you wish for time to think over the answer?" She teased.
"No, because I would leave the decision to you,"
"Oh, why would you leave such an important decision to me?" Her eyes were narrowed and her grin grew wider.
"You're my wife. As your husband, your choice would be my own."
Lilith released a hearty laugh and kissed Aster right on the lips. She hung her arms around his neck and even after the kiss didn't ease up. It was a quick kiss and didn't give Aster any time to return it.
"Flawless. Your choice was flawless. With your choice, you will have me fair at both night and day, a truth never achieved before now."
