Keir Clan

Slacking? They aren't regular employees with fixed working hours, they have control over their time.

"You!" Hadi can only point his finger with a livid expression.

He suddenly thought of the time when Shin Keir and Tristan Felan were just parasites in the Keir clan.

The old patriarch has 3 children- Ellis, Allister, and Mian Keir.

Supposedly, the eldest son, Ellis Keir was expected to be the next family head but the Old Patriarch suddenly had an epiphany and gave the position to his second son- Allister Keir.

The family was turned upside-down but the Old man was firm in his decision, everyone believed he pitied the second son for having a crazy wife and no children of his own but not long after, Allister Keir actually brought home his illegitimate child!

Bad blood ensued and just when the family couldn't be more troubled, the unbridled daughter, Mian Keir, came back with a child.

Two boys of the same age, one is illegitimate and one is ignoble.

In contrast, Hadi Keir was a legitimate and high-born son of Ellis Keir but he had to bow down his head to the two, how absurd!

Until now he couldn't accept the fact that the illegitimate son, Shin Keir became the heir apparent and CEO of KV Global Group while the cheap son, Tristan Felan is the COO.

Whenever he sees these two his heart is filled with hatred and resentment, one is a plague and the other is an incurable disease ailing him inside out!

"Hadi Keir..."

Hadi trembled involuntarily and his back stiffened upon hearing the familiar cold tone of voice.

No matter how much he struggles to deny it, this bastard Shin Keir is getting more and more scarier every day.

"Y- You still know how to speak, I'm here-"

"Get out" Shin merely glanced at him lazily.

"Shin Keir, you only know how to oppress people, no matter what I'm still your cousin! I don't want to work in the North anymore, if you won't do anything then I will let Grandma know of your bullying!"

"..."

Shin unhurriedly called Secretary Yun and asked to transfer Hadi's file to HR.

Hadi smiled triumphantly thinking he'd finally return to the company's head office. It seems Shin Keir is still afraid of the old woman, fortunately, he's the favored grandson.

Not long after, Hadi received an email to verify his transfer, and without checking the details, he immediately agreed unable to wait.

"Still not leaving?" Shin slightly moved causing Hadi to flinch, afraid he would be attacked.

Anyhow, having achieved his purpose, Hadi shifted back to his contemptuous demeanor and strutted out as proud as a peacock.

"Did you really approve his transfer?" Tristan quit playing and sat across Shin.

"Hmm, all unlocked."

Tristan burst out laughing.

All-unlocked means that the files transferred have no omissions and this includes work performances over the years and offenses if there are any, with Hadi Keir's brain circuit, he would surely approve the transferred data without checking what he just approved.

Originally, Hadi Keir worked as a team leader in the finance department while committing harassment and embezzlement, however, he wasn't good at covering his tracks and was immediately exposed.

Such crimes would not only cost him his job but it was also punishable by law, unfortunately, he has an overbearing backer and was just temporarily transferred to a branch office.

Shin Keir couldn't be bothered by Hadi Keir's idiocy, let him be arrogant for a while, and once his atrocity all piled up even those old people in the family wouldn't be able to save him.

"So when can we meet your mysterious girlfriend?"

Shin warily eyed him as if he was looking at a thief.

"..." Tristan let out a half-suppressed laugh.

Despite his playboy reputation, he's not a scumbag who would hit on his brother's woman.

Saeki soon joined in carrying a bottle of wine. "Dear Brother, what happened to Hadi? If I were you just send him to a war country, see if he won't straighten out in just a day!"

Tristan told Saeki about the transfer and the latter couldn't stop laughing just imagining Hadi's twisted face with employees gossiping around on his first day of transfer.

"Did you figure out what to give her?" Tristan put the topic back to Shin Keir.

Shin lifted his gaze from his phone and said with a light tone, "It should be ready soon."

"Next time take a selfie with her, women love taking pictures, and don't forget to smile. " Tristan suggested.

'Smile?' Shin remembered smiling a lot while talking to her, it shouldn't be difficult...

What was upsetting was that she hadn't returned any of his calls or messages since that day, either she had given him a bad number or she was busy fooling around!

After they parted, Shin Keir had Secretary Yun run a background check, and he soon received her file over the weekend.

Indeed her family is a third-tier upper-class and Yeri is the only daughter of Klaus Zhi, the CEO of Zhi Corporation, the company behind the chain of coffeehouses- Cafe Zhillion.

Also, there were controversial affairs like that of the older brother, Yuvin Zhi but which upper-class family doesn't have one or more skeletons in the closet?

Even Shin Keir and Tristan Felan's origin was concealed and only several families outside the Keir knew of it.

What came shocking was Yeri's poor health, doctors claimed she was chronically ill but the details were inexplicable, occasionally she would suffer from a cold fever that would take days, weeks, and just the day before they met she was said to be bedridden for almost a month!

Shin Keir had mixed feelings, the damn woman was so drunk she even fainted, what part of her was weak and chronically ill? Also, is there even an inexplicable chronic disease?

How could someone so sick a day before have the ability to party all night the next day?

Even so, he was afraid she couldn't reply to his messages because she was sick again so he sent people who could enter the girl's dormitory to check up on her and was told she was alright.

In fact, she was said to be busy catching up on her studies and never left the school, apart from her dorm, she only goes to the school's cafe to eat.

Shin Keir felt upset, if she wasn't unwell how come she couldn't even afford a single message?

"What are you two talking about, why can't I understand it?" Saeki interrupted, puzzled.

"How many times do I have to tell you that Shin has a woman, still don't understand?" Tristan impatiently replied.

"..."

Saeki couldn't be more shocked looking at Shin Keir like he was a bizarre creature.

However, Shin Keir remained indifferent and instead turned to Tristan, "If a person failed to answer your messages for days, what do you think is the reason?"

Tristan meaningfully grinned, this woman is not simple!

He met countless women playing such tricks but not so daring enough to make him wait for days, besides the man involved is Shin Keir.

Unlike him, if Shin Keir likes a woman the probability of him marrying her is high, after all, he was known to have no affection for any other woman.

Why ruin the chance that most women couldn't attain?

"Is that person male or female?" Tristan pretended to inquire.

Shin slightly frowned but still answered, "Female"

Tristan nodded, "The message you sent was it personal or business?"

"Just answer the question!" Shin scowled.

Tristan wanted to tease him more but unfortunately, his cousin has a short temper, "There could be several reasons but if she's someone you're seeing then I could think of two possibilities, either she's mad at you and wants you to coax her or she regretted dating you and is planning how to break up with you."

Shin's expression dimmed, neither were good reasons but he has a feeling that the latter is the most likely.

"What nonsense! Although, my dear older brother has a mouth that can anger people I don't believe there's a woman out there who would take you for granted and even dare to break up unless they aren't sane!" Saeki finally recovered from his shock and chimed in.

Tristan looked at the fool with no ounce of self-preservation and sighed.

"Shin, women are complicated creatures so you don't have to overthink, perhaps there is some misunderstanding or something's wrong with her phone or number, do you have other ways to contact her?"

Shin squinted his eyes at Tristan, "I never said the person is my girlfriend."

"..." You're too obvious?

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Tristan knew Shin more than anyone else considering the two grew up together in the same house to the point that people would even mistake them as siblings rather than cousins.

Moreover, he knew that Shin never cared about other people's thoughts of him but now he's suddenly asking for the reason why that 'person' is ignoring him.

Who else could it be but the mysterious girlfriend?
