The Exalted
To make up for my shameful past, I have dedicated the last few years to desperate studying and working. My past. My earlier self. I have never wanted any of it.
Whenever I am not doing anything productive, they come back to haunt me, as if everything I saw and every person I met reminded me of what I have done or rather, not done. This pathological life cannot continue anymore. One day, I would have had to do something about it. I don't know what. Perhaps something terrible beyond words.
And then, everything changed. A turning point of my career, a dark alley, a murderer. I was reincarnated into a different world. A world imbued in 18th-19th-century culture and lifestyle. A world embroiled in wars where honor and glory were still a thing.
Even if I ended up successful in my past life, I could not forget how life treated me before that. I was not able to live happily.
Now it is different, I get a new life in a place where my failures have never happened. Everything in the past remains not only in the past but in a different world altogether that has nothing to do with me any longer.
I have been given a second chance in life, a second chance to not commit the same mistakes I have made. A life to live for myself, for my passions. A life where I can emulate the great men of history.
How cool is that? It is not every day that you get such an opportunity.
Well then, why don't we see what this world has to offer?

an interesting story, the protagonist of which does not have super powers, he does not have a harem. the main character is adequate, he is not a stupid whiner/super confident person ( emphasize the right ). Updates are very rare, which makes me sad(
As an avid reader myself, I have always found something lacking in the novels and web novels I read, such as inadequately or insufficiently developed aspects of the plots that I consider particularly important or interesting. Thus, I wanted to write something of my own and develop these aspects I value so much. This novel is a fantasy that I am having for a few years already. The plotline has gone through long reflection and extensive research. The main characters are on continuous development, just like people in real life. In this story, I wanted to recreate the world of the XVIIIth and the XIXth centuries, since I am very passionate about this era in history. It can be considered a dream that I'm writing down to share with the world. For the sake of this dream, I will think it through as much as possible to make it the most enjoyable story for both you and myself. Since I am a beginner writer and my first language is French, my grammar may be occasionally problematic and my wording can be awkward at times. I will regularly review the content I am writing and correct anything that may be grammatically erroneous or awkward. Please feel free to message me if ever you find something that doesn't fit well in terms of language or even the plot. As you may have guessed, I am currently a Law student from Canada, which coincides with the main character from my novel.
