A broken woman - I

She placed everything she needed in the cart. From simple spices to the most expensive of the seafood that was over billed to his card she placed into her cart.

It was easy to do that, she enjoyed making sure that he had nothing in his account while she had millions in hers now. After having those billed at the counter she went home in his car which she made sure to drive around the block numerous times so that it could be empty of the gas.

Now she had to cook? Evelyn wanted to laugh at the kind of trust he had in her even after blatantly cheating on her and then trying to manipulate her into something like this.

He had no idea what family she came from and what kind of people there were. Manipulations were everywhere and she could survive and she saw through her mother's, the only person she trusted the most in her life, he was nothing.

She had brought the most smelly fish and its smell immediately erupted into the apartment when she started cooking it. There was a cloth drying clip on her nose as she continued with her cooking.

"Babe! There ar—what the fuck?" He came into the kitchen immediately as a smell to the source. "What are you cooking? Could you not make pasta simply?"

She shook her head. " I want to put an effort for your friends." The effects that came without any spices or even butter. "Do you not like it?" She pouted and saw him become angry.

"Are you doing this on purpose? Mind you Evelyn this would not be working in your favour." He warned and his eyes flashed.

She smiled and blinked her eyes animatedly. " I don't have anything else to go for now. If you want we could order from outside?"

Rome could not read from outside as he had a lot of allergies which would basically mean that he had to eat home cooked food most of the time according to his preferences.

He knew that everyone knew that very well which is why he finally snapped. "You are doing this on purpose, aren't you not? You think that you can take revenge from me and I won't understand?" He growled and stepped closer, scaring her a bit as getting physical with her was not the part of the plan.

"Wh-what?" She gulped as she stared at him and then the entrance. She was ready to leave if need be!

"Oh," he snorted, "you were pretty ready to play a joke on me and now you wanna run?" He laughed and she stepped back. He looked dangerous and she did not want to talk anymore. She wanted out of here.

"I'll just leave." She offered instead feeling scared of how he was behaving. "I'll just—"

"No, no," he shook his head and gripped her hands. "Let's go. I think people are right when they say that you should subdue women so that they don't act out." He gritted and pulled to the guest room.

He threw head down to the ground and then took off his belt as Evelyn watched. She was familiar with the concept as the world she lived in had it happen frequently but for it to happen to her it was something completely out of the blue.

"Don't Rome—Ahh!" She yelled when the first strike came down.

Evelyn eventually stopped counting how many times he struck her. In fact she did not even remember as she was semi conscious when he had left. Muffled laughter could be heard at should realise that the gas he was probably talking about here and she was long forgotten in a room.

She should not have come back and should have taken the chance to leave when she had it. Going for Revenge was something far stretched and she knew that she should have gotten out of it when she had the chance.

"Gentlemen," he entered the room where she was in and their eyes met. He looked at her with a smirk as she could barely hold her eyes open. "There's the payment I am talking about." She saw three men enter. "Untouched and unopened."

The man advanced to her and it did not help that she felt too weak to even move and defend herself.
