Hugs and breakfast- I

There was only one thing that Evelyn could do on the spot that would not cause more problems than she already had. That was to admit that she had done something wrong.

"I was not trying to avoid you, I just. . ." She gulped and gave him a very small shrug. "I was missing my father and I just wanted to be alone."

Salvatore cocked up a brow, "Your father?"

Evelyn nodded as she sent a silent prayer to God to forgive her for using her dead father's name but she was missing him to be honest not just to the extent that she was going to tell Salvatore about.

"I was missing him and I have been trying but I did not want you to know. It was just that I wanted to be alone." She explained and he sighed heavily.

"Evelyn, if you think your father's death has been too much, would you like to go to a therapist?" He titled his head. " I can have the best one in the country attend to you."
