A house guest - II

The next time she exited her room Salvatore was not there and she was very much thankful for it.

She was not even aware that most of her clothes were brought here but when she went into the walk-in closet she found a fourth of the originally bought clothes there.

Julia was standing there and she silently led Evelyn into the dining room where Angelo was already sitting right in front of the head of the table. At the very end of the table opposite his son.

"Good morning, Mr Alessandro," She whispered as she neared him. It was customary to greet him given they were meeting after the first time after she had been married to his son.

"Good, girl," he stood up and placed kisses on both sides of her cheek. "Come and sit down. You must be hungry."

Quiet on the contrary, Evelyn felt no desire to eat anything. In fact, the smell of food was making her nauseate.

But of course she could not say to either of their faces.
