Caught - III

"I might want something," he admitted with the small nod of his head. "But would you be willing to give that up?" 

The fear of the worst thing possible happening made her mind go blank and number for a second.

Did he know? But how could he know? 

The blood that she had left behind must have given them the impression that she could just more than hurt.

It must have told them that she was not the only one that had and someone else might have been injured when she said it from the stairs too. 

So there was no possibility that Marcelo would just assume that she was still with her child. How did he know that her child was a life with the amount of blood that was on the stairs? 

A sudden snap of fingers in front of her eyes made Evelyn jerk out of her thoughts. 

"I have not even asked for it yet and you are already lost in your faults," Marcello noted with an observant look. "Perhaps we should leave it here?"
