A dinner date- III

That heavy moment was interrupted by the waiter, he filled their wine glasses before leaving them with the menu and it did not take them minutes before they ordered food.

A few sips of her wine, a little more than necessary but somehow felt herself a bit lightened.

The wine was definitely delicious. For two years when she had been taking care of Arabella she had completely cut off alcohol and having a sip of something that was so beautifully concocted after so long, it gave her a different high.

"Stop, Evelyn," he scolded, "you are a lightweight. That match is going to get you drunk early into the date."

"Hmmm," Evelyn nodded, "if I get drunk, your company might become bearable."

For a brief second, his eyebrows shot up before he schooled his expressions and noted solemnly. "Bearable, yes?"

"Yes."

Salvatore nodded, "thank you for telling me that."
