Blade glimmering in blue light, a dagger was held at deaths throat startling him awake, what an ironic scene. Who was mad enough to threaten death?
More-so how could he even see him?
"This young master is being rather disrespectful," he stated voice as cold as ice.
"Who are you? State your name and rank." The hooded figure asked in a clipped tone
"Just a very old man watching the world go by." he answered, "I am more concerned that you can see me."
Pupil-less eyes met cold blue ones
The ageless one smiled.
The mad one scowled the dagger biting harder into the man's throat, this boy meant business,
"Apologies, I am Durion Frey."
His face was hidden but blue eyes shone brightly, just as they had for his first flame.
Ah Fercilas, you finally found me!

They have chosen their champions and the stage is set and though only one god thinks the Earth is worthy of saving, the other simply wants to be entertained.

And the mortals seek to kill themselves in this pitiful war of wars.
The wheel of destiny spins as the story runs on.
whose champion will survive?
Does it even matter?
Death always wins and this world is, after all, doomed.

if it weren't for your punctuation I'd now think you were a professional. The new covers epic and i'm glad you changed the title this one feels more accurate. PLus I can finally picture Celeste, that is her right? Just keep this going, its a rare type in this site, kinda like a game of thrones now, for my nitpicking. The story isn't rushed and we finally know the endgame but dear god add some life into that dragonxfaerie bit I know they are your cookie cutter couple but they are the main one and compared to the others they aren't nearly as fun, look at Celeste and Barius they are awesome! And you'll probably put Death and the Prince in a relationship that I'm looking forward to. So yeah some much-needed life for the dragon and the faerie, I feel like they could leave the story and it wouldn't make much difference, make me want to see them. Not gonna lie your writing is a gift, keep this going when it's done you can sell it on Amazon or something, I'd buy it
All I could think of as I got deeper and deeper into the first chapter was "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god..." Honestly? I was not expecting it to be this good. It's not perfectly written grammar- and punctuation-wise -- I spotted so many errors in those same first lines -- but oh my god, the errors didn't matter (if you know me, you'll know this is a BIG DEAL). It's the content, the way the sentences and dialogues were written, the depth of meaning behind them, the f*cking effortless beauty (not gonna lie, it makes me mad with jealousy juuust a bit). Hey, author, are you actually a genius? Hang on, though, let me read some more before I continue... Yep, still great by the end of chapter one. I'm crying... I'll be following you eagerly, lazyredragon (though wait a bit while I recover). Keep it the f*ck up (I love-hate you T-T).
This is a really good western book, but who's the MC? So many characters seem important if you could make a list, please? And whats the mans name?
saw it on the forum read it because i liked a reviewers name...Holy **** the writing is awesome like some old western english novel with cute moment in between really ugly scenes that kind of make you worried for the writers brain the book is awesome The creator is morally dubious at best

I this chapter was the best so far though Starlight isnt very active yet, i want to see more of her atleast we know what she is now, at somepint all of these characters will be in the same room and the blood will be awesome! if author could boost chapters to two a day i'd be very happy
this story really changed now i really like it, now if you could stream line the story we'd be in a perfect novel you said you'll post a character sheet add illustrations please i can picture some people
