Expensive Investment

It was still too early to determine if what the Lu twins were exhibiting now were indeed their innate personalities. But no matter what, Long Jinjing loved her babies with all her heart.

"Jing'er, Zihao, Mom is leaving by the end of the week," Sun Jingfei told them.

Long Jinjing's eyes widened. "So soon?"

"I can't stay here forever, you know that. Now that your month-long confinement is over, there is no need for me to stay here any longer."

"But Mom—"

"Jing'er, you'll manage without me," Sun Jingfei's tone was stern even as her expression remained gentle. 

"I…understand." Long Jinjing sighed.

"Don't worry. Mom will still visit my grandsons regularly."

"Give me a call whenever you want to see your grandsons, Mother," Lu Zihao said. "I'll have someone pick you up."

Sun Jingfei didn't refuse his offer. "Thank you, Zihao. Mom will depend on you when the time comes."

"No problem."
