Nine Realms Riot (5)

Whether it was unscrupulous or inhuman, it did not matter.

Whether or not the battle between the races could continue or not, Fury shouldered the responsibility of the sword wielder.

However, he was not like the sword wielder who maintained a strategic balance in the last century. Instead, he was a cold-blooded executioner who carried out a counterattack plan at all costs when Earth and humans were extinct.

There was no strategic deterrence here.

Only when the human civilization was on the verge of extinction, they would use all of their heroic and ruthless attacks!

Almost everyone who knew S. H. I. E. L. D. only knew that Nick Fury was a super agent. When he was young, he participated in the Second World War. Later, he served as the director of S. H. I. E. L. D., wandering between darkness and light, a sinister and cunning king of agent.

But no one knew that Nick Fury actually had another identity - the Secret Keeper!

In this black agent's brain, there were many secrets that even S. H. I. E. L. D. had not recorded, and some of them would bring disaster to the entire earth and humans if they were to be disclosed.

The Secret Keeper was an ancient inheritance, from a certain Pharaoh from ancient Egypt.

According to rumors, even S.H.I.E.L.D. came from the pharaoh of ancient Egypt, and celebrities such as Da Vinci, Galileo, and Newton joined in the past. The current S.H.I.E.L.D. is just a secret agent organization re-established after World War II according to this legend.

However, through a certain mission, Nick Fury obtained the approval of the Egyptian Pharaoh and inherited the ancient secrets of the earth.

There was only one Secret Guardian in each generation. The former successor who had not died could not be born. However, even after the Secret Guardian died, he would be tortured by these secrets until he passed it to the successor. Only then could his soul free from the torment and rest forever.

"I hope it won't be used."

Fury looked at the churning sea of clouds outside the glass window and muttered, "Otherwise, once that plan is activated, there will be no turning back."

The Typhon plan was an accident, originating from one of his greed.

It was supposed to be permanently sealed in the brain of the secret guardian, but at this moment, Fury had made up his mind to use it as a last resort to perish together.

...

...

...

Southeastern England, in the middle of the Severn River Basin.

It was now the golden autumn season, and the golden scenery on both sides of the river bank was blown by the cool autumn wind.

Fifty elite agents sent by S.H.I.E.L.D., under the leadership of Natasha and Patton, together with the half-crazed Dr. Eric, formed an exploration team and landed on several Harrier fighters on the shore.

The mission of their trip was to find the so-called 'Severn Valley'.

Guided by the half-mad Dr. Eric, they searched along the Severn River, not letting go of any suspicious places.

During this period of time, they almost had no rest. They worked overtime to find possible places until they reached the middle of the river. This was a small area without cities. There were only dense forests, rivers, and swamps nearby.

"Let's go and take a look."

Barton gave himself an injection, rubbed his cheeks vigorously, and forcibly cheered up: "There is no time to rest. We must find the Severn Valley before the day after tomorrow."

After a short break, the team followed the river bank and entered the forest.

Then, they were lost.

It was obviously not the rainy season yet, but the soil in the forest had become wet and soft. The air was filled with the smell of rotten leaves. As they went deeper, a faint fog suddenly rose around them.

The forest followed the hills around them and gradually extended downwards.

The trees next to them began to grow stronger and more luxuriant. There were giant trees wrapped in black tree bark. They looked like a prehistoric army standing and looking into the distance. At the end of their eyes was the deeper part of the forest.

It was dark, damp, treacherous, and deathly silent.

Ice-cold.

The strange feeling invaded everyone, making even the elite agent complain.

But Barton soon realized that something was wrong. In such a large forest that was almost in the original form, they couldn't hear a bird's cry, and there was no sign of animals!

"Everyone, stay on guard!"

Barton deliberately lowered his voice, clenched his fist and called out to the team in a low voice, "There is something wrong here. Everyone, be alert!"

The well-trained elites, agent, immediately picked up their weapons and separated to monitor all directions.

"What did you find, Barton?" Natasha walked to the side and asked in a low voice.

Barton ignored her. Instead, he squatted down with a serious face. He flipped over the wet soil with his hand and pulled out some ferns and grassroots plants. Then he changed to another place and continued to repeat the above actions.

His strange behavior made Natasha even more confused, "What are you looking for?"

"Ants."

Barton replied, lowering his head and continuing to flip the soil.

"Why are you looking for ants?" Natasha felt that it was a bit inconceivable. They were not here to survive in the wild, why would they look for ants?

"Haven't you noticed?"

Barton got up with a gloomy face and patted off the soil in his hand. He looked around and said in a low voice, "It's too quiet here. Not only the birds, but there is no trace of animals."

"Perhaps... this is what it is like here?" Natasha still didn't understand what it had to do with finding ants.

"No matter what forest, no matter how cruel the environment is, there will always be ants and insects." Barton said with a serious expression, "But there are no ants or insects here. Don't you find it strange?"

"This..."

Natasha was speechless and understood what Barton was saying.

There were about six hundred species of ants known to Earth, and the number of insects was more than three hundred thousand. They were almost everywhere on Earth, whether it was the harsh desert or the cold Antarctic.

But there was none in this forest, which could already show the seriousness of the problem.

"Perhaps... this is good news."

Natasha pondered for a moment, her eyes glimmering. "Maybe we are approaching the Severn River Valley that does not exist on the map."

"You are right. This possibility is very high."

Barton nodded in agreement with her point of view. "But no matter what, from here on, we have to be alert and be careful of the lizardmen who appear at any time. Once we confirm that there are creatures beyond the sky in the lake, we will immediately evacuate and call the headquarters to fire."

"Ah.."

Just as they were discussing, perhaps this was the Severn River Valley.

A sudden scream broke through the silence of the forest, and everyone had goosebumps.

Barton and Natasha looked at the source of the cry almost at the same time. They saw an elite agent with half his head smashed. He was dragged by a huge force to the back of a huge black tree.

Agent's ten fingers were desperately pulling the objects nearby, trying to slow down the force of being dragged. Unfortunately, the ground was too soft and damp. He had no way to borrow strength. After turning up a large piece of soil, half of the person was dragged behind the tree.

Agent's ten fingers were clutching the tree bark.

Under the forceful pull of the huge force, ten bloody marks were forcibly dug out. The fingernails and skin were rolled up, and his face was full of horror. He screamed to his companions for help.

"Save him"

Barton shouted, and pulled the bow and drew the arrow in one go.

The arrow carried a huge penetrating force, directly piercing through the tree and hitting the unknown creature behind it.

"Ga -!"

A sharp cry that was not human sounded. The attack made it extremely angry. It directly tore agent's body apart and fled in the forest with its lower body. In a few flashes, it disappeared from everyone's sight.

When he looked at agent who had been dismembered, his eyes turned white in pain and he died.

His ten fingers were deeply inserted into the tree. His entire fingernails and flesh rolled up, revealing the white bones inside. The muscles on his face were even more twisted and ferocious. It was obvious that he had suffered unbelievable pain before his death.

"Ah.. Save me. Save me"

"There are monsters! There are monsters! Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire!"

"My legs! Ah! My legs!"

For a moment, the dead forest suddenly became lively.

The sound of bullets, screams, howls of monsters, and cries for help were endless.

Under the cover of the faint fog, the unknown brutal monsters were like sharks that smelled blood. They rushed out from behind the thick trees around them and tore up more than a dozen agent at an astonishing speed. Then, they dragged their corpses and disappeared into the depths of the forest.
