Chapter 6- Disrespect to Ones Cousin

Two days after obtaining this power, Wan Long was peacefully cultivating in his room when he heard his door open.

"Long'er! Come greet your second uncle and cousins!" His mother, Wan Qing, came in and informed him of the arrival of his relatives. This second uncle of his was named Wan Zhu. He had a very round appearance and you could see the folds of fat on his belly even through his clothes.

His second uncle was the one who handled the finances of the branch family and also managed the Thousand Gold Bank in the Thousand Prosperity City which the branch family was located at.

Wan Long had only seen him about twice in his life, and he had only seen these cousins of his once. He did not know why his second uncle would suddenly visit his family.

"Little nephew Long! Your uncle has come to see you! Hahaha!" As Wan Long stepped out of his room to greet his relatives, a voice filled with energy knocked on his eardrums and gave him a slight shock.

"G-Greetings, second uncle. What brings you here to our home?" He recovered from the slight shock quickly and hurried to greet his uncle, not forgetting to also greet his cousins, Wan Jian and Wan Yue. They were both younger than Wan Long by 1 and 2 years, with Wan Yue being the older of the 2.

Wan Yue respectfully greeted Wan Long with a warm smile on her face. However, it was not the same for Wan Jian. He had a face full of hostility and did not bother to even open his mouth to say hello.

Wan Long had kind of expected this as Wan Jian was one of the more talented youths who were born in their generation. He had a low seventh rank talent, the Golden Sword. As someone who was known as a talented individual, he obviously would not put Wan Long, who was stuck at the First Level of Body Refinement for 7 years, in his eyes.

Wan Jian himself was already at the Third Level of Body Refinement and was about to reach the Fourth Level. As for Wan Yue, she had a high sixth rank talent, the Lunar Sword. But since her talent was still in the middle class of talents, her cultivation was the same as Wan Jian, despite her being older by one year.

She had a cultivation of Third Level of Body Refinement as well, however, she had only just reached this level of cultivation not long ago.

This was the difference between medium rank and high rank talents.

"Wan Jian! Greet your elder cousin properly!" Wan Zhu chided his son as he saw the disdain in Wan Jian's eyes and felt a little bit of guilt. This was because when he and Wan Long's father were young, they followed each other everywhere and did everything together. Yet his son did not show any sign of respect for Wan Long at all.

"I apologize for my son's act of disrespect, will you accept my apology?" Wan Zhu smacked the back of Wan Jian's head after he mumbled a small 'hello' through gritted teeth.

"Second uncle, it's alright, junior Wan Jian is one of our Wan Family branch's most talented youths so he has the right to to not put me in his eyes. He could be a renowned general of the army in the future!" As Wan Long said this, he could see a glint of smugness flash across Wan Jian's face, as if trying to tell Wan Long 'at least you know your place, you trash
