28: Apology Gift

I missed a step and fell when someone caught me.

It was Victor....He placed me on the bed, Hardin, Sam and Samuel were in the doorway. I looked at the wall clock that was hanging in the room, it was 5:30 am....early.

Wait....5:30am....it was too early for anyone of them to be awake....and why were they in my room. While I was zoned out....Victor hanged the lights, Sam called the guards who were supposed to be at post near my room, Sam and Samuel both shouted at them for leaving post.

I drank some water and started patting my cat Billu. They put up the lights in silence....none of them uttering a word. I looked at Hardin who was sitting on the opposite side of the bed removing the rest of the stuff from the shopping bags (his leg was alright now so he could roam everywhere he wanted), he looked tired. I looked at all of them and realized that they all did.

I was about to say something when the chef bought in some breakfast, I looked at him and asked him "How did you know I was up and awake?"

He looked at the boys who were now taking the ladder back to the spare room and whispered

" I'm not supposed to tell you this young miss it was young masters who prepared it....and ummmm they were up all night in the kitchen...."

"You can leave now!!" shouted Sam. I looked at him with fear, he looked mad. The chef placed the plate on the table next to my bed, I thanked the chef and he went out of the room, Sam came near me and I thought that he was going to slap me or something so I went to the corner of the bed till my body bumped into the wall, I closed my eyes in fear.

I felt someone touching my cheeks so I shrugged and I felt a tear on my cheek. I was scared of the look Sam gave me, used to get it a lot when I got bullied in my old school.

"Oh my God, I didn't mean to scare you Sara" I heard Sam. I opened my eyes to see the clear dark circles under his eyes, the other had too. I hugged him. I didn't know what to do. I was scared of the facial look he gave me.

"We are sorry Sara. We are sorry for how we treated you yesterday, we were just upset that we kept losing. We are sorry that you got shoutings from Grandparents and the girls" Sam said this all while I hugged him.

I sat back on the bed and wiped my tears. I looked at him, he was looking at me worriedly. I shook my head as a no and looked at my hands and said "It's not that. I got scared because of your angry face. You see I used to get bullied a lot in my old school. I used to never tell Ange cause she would always get worried because of me, so I used to never tell her. "

I looked up and say all four of them having shocked expressions. Samuel came near me and said "How dare someone bully my lovely sister....I'll break their nose"

I giggled and said "Please don't " so Hardin looked at me and said with a grin "Don't tell you already did that "

Smart boy. I smirked and said "He teased me that my family abandoned me and then threatened to hurt Ange and he did that exactly, he pushed Ange from the stairs, luckily her boyfriend, now ex caught her, he didn't understand. He thought I was weak but one rule hurt me as much as you want but no hurting family....hurting family means crossing the line....I know....I know, I got in trouble though, first time called to the principal's office to get detention for a month and I regret nothing. " and I giggled.

Sam and Samuel looked worriedly at each other and Samuel said "No one abandoned you Sara....it was to protect you " I smiled and said "I know".

Victor looked at me in shock and said " And I thought I was the crazy one. So that's what happened in that one month".

I looked at him smiling and said "Yea you are crazy ,but I didn't want anyone to get worried so told no one....not even Ange. Had to lie that I had extra classes. "

Sam and Samuel laughed together and said "Don't mess with her".

Me: Don't blame me....I had to practice my defense skills

Sam:You know defense??

Me: Two years training and then self taught

Samuel: But we knew nothing of this

Me: Of course you wouldn't.... Ange's ex's sister was a trained professional though she was younger than me....I had to secretly sneak her in the house telling Uncle and Aunt that I was giving her tuitions

Victor smirked and said "Oooooh Liar liar"

Me: Mind your tongue. I didn't lie....okay fine I did.... but it was a half lie. I was giving her tuitions in Maths and English and in exchange she was training me.

Hardin hugged me. I froze, I didn't know what to do. Hardin sat next to me and said "Don't worry. I promise we'll never let anything happen to you ". I smiled and kissed him on his cheeks and said "I know ".He looks so cute when flustered . They started teasing Hardin when

Victor: Eat

Me:Huh??....oh yes, good you reminded. Why didn't you guys sleep??

Victor: Ummm....actually we felt bad for behaving like that so we couldn't sleep and started preparing this from 4am when we noticed your room light.

Hardin: Sorry it's not perfect.

Me: No worries....but why did you have to do this?

Sam: A small apology....

Samuel: ....gift from us.

I giggled and said "Thank you prince charmings but you guys need rest."

They smiled and sat next to me and Sam said "We'll go after you eat"

Me: Fine

I looked at the plate it was cutely decorated

The bacon was the lips, The egg yolks were the eyes and small tomatoes as the cheeks/blush and banana milkshake (my favorite). I finished my breakfast and looked up to see Hardin sleeping near me, Victor slept on my desk, Sam and Samuel were near the end of the bed, all sleeping.

They might get cold. I kept the plate on my nightstand and put my blanket over Hardin. I pulled the same blanket over my brothers. I had a pretty big bed for someone as short as 5'4 like me so all the three boys had pretty room between them. I wanted to put Victor on the bed but I didn't dare touch him so I asked Tanmoy who was outside the room to get a extra blanket as soon as possible and he got one within 2 minutes. I put it over Victor and made sure it covered him. I took the extra pillow from my bed and put it under Victor's head slowly without waking him up.

I stood near the door when I noticed Hardin smiling with his eyes closed. Trying to fool me?? I tiptoed to Hardin and kissed him on his forehead and whispered in his ear "You are very bad at acting but sleep for now". He groaned.

I saw that it was 6:27am on the clock. I took the plate in the kitchen and after lots of arguing with the chef I finally managed to wash my plate....I came to the living room to see....
