Saturday Suit

"Oh, you mean the boy, who suddenly spoke on the phone," Jian asked, taking out some of the last few things. John hummed in response as he moved the stuff to clean the table, and Jian said, "Nickolas is a school friend. I met him when I first moved, and he was just a positive and friendly person so we just naturally became friends, anyways remember the birthday party I mentioned, it's for Nick and his twin sister. You wanna help me choose an outfit?" She asked, picking up her phone, and he said sure as she searched up the pictures of the outfits she had in mind. "Also, while I do this, can you do me a favor and try to have on just your shirt and pants. I want to make sure the measurements are accurate." He nodded, taking off his hoodie and placing it away on the sofa.

"So here, the party is basically a Quinceanera for his sister, but he gets to invite his friends there, and he will get his own party later. He was thinking of a beach party anyways, so it just wasn't the time this year," Jian said, passing the phone over, and John asked, "Are you taking a date?"

"Hmm," she thought before responding, "This is my first quince so I don't know, but I think most of my friends are bringing a date, so maybe I will just make one of the ones without a date my date. What do you think?" She ended with a question as she took his shoulder measurements. She moved down his back while he said, "If you need a date, I have nothing to do, plus a quince sounds fun."

"Have you been to a quince before, John?" Jian asked, writing down the measurements of his back. "Yes, I have, and it's usually a lot of booze and dancing. So having a date is a better choice since you can rest assured that there is someone to take care of you." He said, and Jian moved to the front, asking him, "What about the outfit, did you choose yet?" He nodded before explaining, "The short dresses are always a better choice for birthday parties especially if you don't want attention taken away from the birthday girl." She nodded and took the phone back as he asked, "So who will be your date to the quince?"

Jian smiled as she placed the phone down, "If you really want to go then sure, but you have to match with the dress." Her sentence ended with a smile, and he also smiled as she continued to take measurements.

"Jian, you wanna go shopping?" John asked as she took his hip measurement. "Umm, sure," she replied as she finished writing the numbers down. Next, she started by showing him all the different designs she came up with explaining. "These are a few designs I feel will be great, but it's your choice, I would love to make the double-breasted vest and a coat with a double vent then pleated pants. It just feels great with the light blue fabric I have, but it's your choice." She said, and he sighed before saying, "You know you aren't really giving me a choice right?" She nodded and he said sure as she pulled out the pattern she had written down.

"You had a pattern made already?" He asked, and she nodded, saying, "Of course, I didn't want to waste time calculating during the fitting, so now we just use the formula and then create the pattern on this fabric." She got up, placed the fabric on the couch, and then, cleared the table. Then place the fabric cleanly on the table and mark out the patterns with the new number John got from calculating the measurements.
