Pizza Pick-up

"Anyways, what time is it?" Johnny asked as they approached the doors. "About 9:20," she said looking at her phone. He nodded waiting for the automatic doors to open, before he walked out and placed Jian down to grab his wallet to tip the valet, who asked for his name before walking away.

"Thank you, sir," the valet said passing the keys to Johnny as Johnny passed a twenty to him. John glanced at Jian asking, "How is your ankle?" Jian moved her foot a bit before she sighed saying, "It doesn't hurt as much however it is a little difficult to step on." He nodded as he gave her the keys before picking her up.

He walked a few yards before they arrived at the car and Jian opened the door. He placed her down helping her get on and got into the driver's seat. He smiled waiting for the other cars to pass before he started driving.

"Jian what are you craving?" he asked as they pulled out the hotel. "What do you mean?" she asked, and he glanced at her before saying, "You didn't eat the dinner at the dinner, I noticed you barely took a few bites, so I am asking you, is there anything you want to eat right now?" Jian smiled, "Ya I didn't realize the sauce would be that unappealing. I'm thinking pizza is great." He nodded asking, "Is there a place near your home we can pick pizza up from?" She nodded taking out her phone asking, "Any toppings for you?" He took a few seconds before responding, "Anything is fine."

Jian nodded before placing in the order online. "It will be ready in 25 minutes, and the GPS is also on." John smiled asking, "You can play music, my phone's right there." She reached forward for the phone and searched a few songs she liked. The two listened to the music as they drove in comforting silence.

However, the silence didn't last long as John asked, "Jian how is your ankle, we might need to apply something to it, no?" Jian smiled saying, "You know you sound a lot like my mother right now, also I am fine I just need to put less stress on this leg so that the pain doesn't get worse." He nodded still looking concerned. "Anyways, so what were you and Nick talking about earlier?" Jian asked changing the subject of their conversation. Johnny smiled following along as he responded, "We were talking about hanging out in the future possibly in a few weeks from now."

Jian smiled giggling a little as she said, "I ship it." Johnny eyes widen in shock before he started laughing. After a few minutes he said, "Jian, I love your sense of humor, but we were talking about hanging out with you. Oh, that reminds me, I will have a date by tomorrow so that you can adjust your work schedule." She nodded giggling, and he asked another question, "Jian, can we stop by the office tomorrow I have something I want to show you?"

"Sure, I don't see why not, oh and also try to park somewhere we are near the restaurant now," she said looking out the window. He nodded asking, "Do you want to stay in the car, I can go pick up the pizza?" Jian smiled and was about to take out her card when he said, "Remember lunch and dinner are on me for all of eternity?" She raised her brows remembering their little joke but before she could pass him the card, he was already closing the door. She waited and, in a few minutes, he was back to the car.

"So how did you pay?" she asked, and he sighed passing the box to her as well as a bag of ice saying, "Place this on your ankle, it should feel much better after a few minutes, and next time I am placing the order." She smirked watching him walk to the other side of the car.
