Peaceful Morning

Jian yawned at the sound of her alarm ringing, she got up quickly grabbed her clothes, and headed to the restroom. John sighed as he sat up, his heartbeat increasing as his nervousness grew.

"John, breakfast is ready," he heard Jessica call out as she walked by the room. He stretched before getting up and cleaning the mats. He grabbed his clothes to change into out of his bag along with a few changes of clothes to leave behind. He placed them in the dresser before walking out of the room.

"Good morning," he said to Jessica who walked out of her room. "Morning, Jian's in my restroom you can use the other one," she said pointing to the restroom in the hall and he nodded saying, "Thank you, Mis- Aunty."

She smiled gently as she walked into the kitchen cleaning up after herself. Jian got out of the restroom soon after, her clothes packed in the bag as she placed them in the living room. "Did you eat yet?" John asked as he walked outside and she shook her head saying, "No, but I'll be eating light."

He nods picking up his own coffee cup saying, "Thank you," to Jessica who nods saying, "Lock the doors when you leave, and John drive safely, I am heading out a little early."

"Alright, bye Mom," Jian said as she sat down at the table. "So, my lady how much longer till we hit the road?" John asked and Jian smiled pulling out her phone to check the traffic before saying, "About 20 minutes, otherwise we will be stuck." He nods saying, "Alright, I'll bring my bag out and once you're done, we can leave."

She frowned asking, "You're not eating?" He smiled saying, "I don't eat this early." Jian nods saying, "Then I'll pack these up and we can eat later." He frowned, she smiled at him saying, "We can't have you skipping your meals plus eating this early will make me feel bloated later." He sighed as he helped clean up the table and the two left after a few minutes.

"Jian let me place the bag away," John said reaching for them before opening the door for her. "Why thank you, kind sir," Jian said before giggling and he smiled closing the door gently, then placing the bags in the trunk.

"John, do you need the address?" Jian asked as he sat down and he nodded saying, "Until we're out of the city." She picked up her phone placing the address in before he started the car and the two drove off.

"If you're still sleepy you can nap," John suggested and she smiled saying, "Then who's going to tell you the direction, what if you miss the exit like last time when we drove home." He smiled saying, "We'll enjoy the drive then." She sighed saying, "Alright, then we'll both enjoy the drive, plus I want to watch the sunrise so I am not sleeping."

"Alright, where's the next turn?" he asked as they stopped at a light and she smiled saying, "Turn left at the second light, so two lights from now."

He nodded and they drove holding small conversations, John trying his best to keep the rest of the day a secret and soon they arrived at the ranch.

"What's wrong?" John asked as he grabbed the bags and Jian glanced at the car saying, "I didn't realize the car was so bright." He smiled saying, "Well I borrowed it because red's your favorite color you don't like it?" She shook her head as they walked towards the stables saying, "No I like the color, just wasn't expecting it to be that eye-catching."

"What do you mean?" He asked and she smiled saying, "You know what I mean." He shook his head playing innocent as he placed the bags down on the outside table.

"It looks really expensive, and rare," she whispered, and he held back his laughter asking, "Do you want to know what it cost?" She frowned asking, "You know?" he nodded saying, "It's the only one in the world and it's about a million, maybe more."

Jian's eyes widened and he laughed at her expression saying, "Don't worry give me a few years and I can get one similar to it."

"Well, I wouldn't suggest it," she said as she took out their breakfast, and John frowned asking, "Why?" She smiled saying, "It feels like a waste to buy a car you don't drive regularly, plus it would be a pain to get it repaired if it's the only one."

He smiled at her saying, "But it's your favorite color." Jian sighed before meeting his eyes saying, "Yes but it's your car." He looked away saying, "Alright, we can talk about this another day, so what should we do now?"

"Of course, we'll eat lightly and then go see Adrien," she said passing him a plate of fruits, and the now cold chocolate croissant.

"That sounds great, do you want to ride Glory again?" he asked holding the chair out for her and she nodded sitting down before saying, "If that's okay." He nods saying, "Then I'll go tell the staff." She nods as he walked away.
