What did it feel like to be her? Treated as someone who wasn't her? Celestine at her position, hundreds if not thousands of people were under her feet, but it was the role she represented they revered, not her, that status of the so-called 'Goddess Reborn'.
The original Celestine, the woman before me, all she wanted was peace, to be left alone, to spend her days with her most loved one, it was Nature.
"Tina, where are you from?" I sat beside her, we were surrounded by the green and yellow leaves.
"Tina is from the Elven Forest," she sweetly curved her lips, "Husband, where are you from?"
"I am from many places."
"Eeeh? What is that mean?" Celestine frowned, I had to admit there was nothing that could lessen her beauty.
"It means, your husband is super strong that he has traveled to many places."
"Really? Hmm... what does it feels like to be super strong?"
"It feels... well, how to describe it," I rubbed the back of my head, "it's like... you can have everything in this world on your whim."
"Is that good? To have everything?"
"Yeah."
"Does it make husband happy?"
"..."
Perhaps no, sometimes having less made you happier, sometimes having all made you ill.
It didn't mean you shouldn't try to have all, but there were things in the world that you eventually would not be able to get, and you should understand it in order not to have regret.
"I think... happiness is... that you have a fulfilling life."
"How to get a fulfilling life?"
"By doing the thing you loved the most, by being with someone you loved the most, by getting what you loved the most."
"Then Tina had her fulfilling life?" Celestine tilted her head, "after all, Tina could still tend to her flowers."
"That is the question for your heart, as only your heart has the answer," I smiled and placed my hand on her crown, lightly rubbing it.
She drooped her head, seemingly deep in her thought, she said, "Does husband has a fulfilling life?"
"I do," I couldn't help but chuckle, "but it isn't completed yet, my goal hasn't been achieved."
"What is husband's goal?"
"Naturally is to pursuit beauties and hotties, my goal is to hug many women to build imperial harem!"
"Ha--rem???"
P-pure soul... Is this mean God wanted me to teach her about this kind of stuff? Should Tina be my disciple of the philosophy of harem?!
I chatted with Celestine for quite a while before we continued to walk toward the meeting tree.
She stared at the tree upon arrival, then fell into silence for quite some time.
"Tina?" I called out.
"..." Huh? Did she disconnect from the reality?
When I wanted to nudge her head, Tina snapped her eyes toward me, "Husband, this tree is not alive!"
"Really?"
"Yes!"
"..."
"..."
"Will you explain, please?" I almost rolled my eyes, girl, don't say thing half-ass like that.
Besides, what's the big deal? I mean, yeah, it's a big deal for me since it impeded my progress once again, but why she was spooked?
"Ah, husband, Tina mean this tree isn't like other trees, it doesn't come from Nature, it's a tree as the result of magic..."
"You mean someone create this tree? Natural magic?" my forehead wrinkled, I knew the rarity of this magic, no human could learn it.
Celestine nodded, "With magic, the person controlled the power of nature to grant him or her the ability to create a tree, however, this type of tree was unnatural, it won't grow like a normal tree and function only through magic again, that means unless someone knew Natural magic, this tree won't gain life."
"Who possibly possesses magic like this?"
"Well, it's the Elf Chief."
"Eh?" my breath paused, what did I just hear from her?
"Tina, are you sure it's the Elf Chief?"
"Yes, oh wait, wait..." Celestine thought harder, her forehead wrinkled in a cutesy manner, she also closed her eyes.
"Yup, it's the Elf Chief, Tina only knows him..." Celestine sighed.
"So, Tina, you're saying... the Elf Chief is part of the traitors?" I said with a serious tone, this was no good...
"Ah? No, when did Tina say that? Tina only knows the Elf Chief is someone who can use magic like this..." Celestine shook her head frantically.
"Then is it possible for others to have learned this magic?"
"No, it's magic that Goddess Larentia bestowed for the Elf Chief," Celestine said, she thought she sound innocent, but it just convinced me more that the Elf Chief possibly part of the traitor!
Why? Because the Church's goal was to resurrect Larentia, that meant the Elf Chief possibly on board with them as the people who worshipped the same divine. Also, the reason I thought this was dangerous because if the Elf Chief once met Larentia, how old he was now? Possibly crossed one millennium, surpassing the age of my soul!
I hoped it's merely my suspicion, I went to ask Celestine to extract information from the surrounding plants.
"There are 10 individuals, all of them wearing some kind of cape, umm... one of them relieved on this tree..."
10 people, 2 of them were Volt and Keanu, which meant I had 8 suspects.
"Standing or sitting?"
"Standing."
"Is there someone with the shortest height?"
"Yes."
"Is there someone with the largest frame other than Volt?"
"I don't know, husband, but there are two figures that indeed quite huge..."
I asked more questions until I got all the detail, finally, I wandered inside the forest to find a clue that could bring me closer to find the traitors with the guidance of Celestine with her power to communicate with nature.
However... I only got two clues, each was a belonging of the traitors.
A ring, which belonged to a pallum.
And a crumbled of bread, which belonged to a Piglet (a half human-pig race), and he was the baron in Primrose's fort.
