Chapter 9

The professional heroes came. They almost threw up at the inhumane sight of the dead body on the ground. They took Todoroki into custody and soon interrogated him. They kept silent, not speaking a word to each other or to the public.

All Might and Eraserhead sat at a table set up in front of Todoroki.

"What happened to you and Izuku? Where is Kira Midoriya?" Eraserhead asked. Todoroki sighed.

"When I was healing, and Izuku was..." He gulped. "Kira protected us. Overhaul attacked us, he said it was in order to put Midoriya back where he belongs."

"I see. So that's who the victim was."

"Kira... passed in her fight along with Overhaul."

"Why didn't Izuku engage in the first place? Why was Kira forced into battle, while Izuku stayed hidden and safe?" Todoroki went silent. He avoided eye contact and fidgeted with his hands under the table.

"He... he was out of it."

"Out of it?"

"Nightmares. I think it had to do with something that happened before I knew him as a villain myself."

"Where is Midoriya now?" Todoroki shook his head.

"I don't know. He snapped and demanded that I come with him, but I refused. I didn't want to be with him the way he was after that. It wasn't the real him. Not the Izuku I fell in love with at least."

"Very well then. That's all for today. You may sleep in your dorm room but it will be heavily gaurded."

"Wait, dorm room? I thought I was in confinement."

"You're a minor. Our previous threat was just to get you to comply. We can't allow you to go to prison, so we will take you into the safest place we can get you. Back to UA."

"Understood, sir."

The door closed and Todoroki went back to the dorms. He collapsed onto his bed and fell asleep.

Izuku turned to look him in the eyes. His smile rippled and replaced with anger. A knife penetrated his skin. "You should be dead. This is your fault. Kira would still be alive if it weren't for you. Bring her back. I hate you. No, I never loved you in the first place. Goodbye. Todoroki Shouto.'

Todoroki shot up in his bed, breathing heavily. He heard a knock on the door. His classmates all filed in. "Uraraka, Ilda, Kirishima, Sero, Kaminari, Mina, Momo, Tsyu, Tokoyami..."

Sero rubbed the back of his head. "We know our own names Todoroki, It's not like we need your help to remember."

"Sorry."

"Hey. You looked pretty cool the other day." Kirishima said. "Even though it was for the wrong reasons, you looked really manly."

"Speaking of manly. Where is Bakugou?" Todoroki asked.

"He's at home. Said he needed space. " The air grew dense as if you could cut it with a blade. Kaminari was the one to speak up.

"So Midoriya left you? Just like that?" Todoroki nodded. "But he promised!"

"Promises are meant to be broken." He replied simply.

"Not manly," Kirishima said.

"Well, Are we gonna get him back?" Uraraka perked.

"We can't," Todoroki said. "He won't come back even if we take him by force. Before, maybe, but now? No. Not possible."

Uraraka shrunk after being shot down. Ilda waved his hands and carotte chopped the air. "You musn't think so negatively! If we try hard enough we can bring him back! If not, then we'll die trying!"

"Right!" They all cheered.

Todoroki smiled but he wasn't sure they could follow through with it. Or else they really might die trying.

Izuku sat frozen in his bed. Staring blankly at the ceiling with his bloodshot eyes. His mother, His father, and Kira were all gone. Todoroki had left him too. He was done trying to impress. Done making himself struggle. Done pretending to be what he's not. Done with everything. Done with the heroes, villains, and relationships. After all, every relationship he's made till now has disappeared. Along with his aspiration. Now he will rid the world of theirs.

Three months passed. Midoriya showed no proof of his further existence. No one knew of his whereabouts. As if he had gone missing again, kidnapped. But this time, he was the one who took himself away from them. However, Todoroki was back to school. It seemed as if nothing had happened to begin with, and only a trace of it was left. Regardless, they thought about Izuku, but they never brought him up.

A faint reporter on the tv could be heard. "For the past two months, someone or something has been mercilessly killing people all around the globe. It would seem highly unlikely that one person could be all around the world in short timespans in order to claim it's victims, but each body has been found with a hole in their foreheads. Police have begun further investigations in order to find the culprit. Unfortunately, we currently have no clue as to who or what this could be."

When their suspicions rose, so did their doubts. From what they knew, Izuku didn't go this far. He wouldn't. He was never this violent and Todoroki could agree with that. However, things had changed, months have passed, and people have been lost. They were almost halfway through their third year, and they had not yet brought Izuku back as they had planned. In fact, they had gotten even further away.

The bell rang and the students filed into the classroom. Shortly after, a yellow caterpiller slithered into the room. They went through their lesson as usual.

They all trained, determined to eventually bring Izuku back. They fought against each other to point out each other's flaws and strengths to get stronger.

Bakugou, Uraraka, Todoroki, and Ilda held flowers in their hands. They had bouquets of roses and lilies. They walked into the cemetery and placed the flowers on the two tombstones that read, "Mother and a Hero; Inko Midoriya." and "Loving daughter, sister, and supporter through life and death; Kira Midoriya." They dropped to their knees to pray.

After paying their respects they walked back to the dorms.

A day later;

Bakugou ran through the woods, sweat falling down his face. He ran past familiar trees and pathways and soon an all too similar river. He stopped and turned into the path leading to the body of water. The orange afternoon sunlight shone on the water and the green grass surrounding it blew with the breeze as it created ripples on the ground.

The sound of water rung in Bakugou's ears and the familiar forest smell entered his nose. When he looked into the hill, his eyes spotted fluffy green hair. Izuku was relaxed and laying down on the hill with his arms outstretched behind him and landing onto the ground, keeping his back off of the ground. Instead of his suit he was wearing a green hoodie and black pants that hugged his slightly feminine legs. His face pointed to the sky as wind blew his hair backward.

Bakugou stared, his mouth agape. When the wind stopped blowing, Izuku's hair fell back onto his face. His hair had grown long and messy inferring that it hadn't been well taken care of. He turned his head toward Bakugou. His glowing green eye appearance sent shivers down his spine. Under his eyes were dark bags under his eyes. It appeared as if he hadn't slept in months.

Izuku smiled which didn't reach his eyes. "Hello, Kacchan! Long time no see."

"Cut the act. What are you doing here, Deku?"

"It's beautiful isn't it."

"Get to the point. You've done this before and last time that didn't end well."

"I missed it is all. Reminds me of our fond memories. Especially since we have only a few fond memories, this is one of the few." His voice held no menace but his words struck Bakugou straight in the heart.

When there was nothing but silence, Izuku spoke up. "Please, Kacchan. I'm lonely." Izuku inched closer to Bakugou. "Keep me company? I want you to join me. Come with me. We could rule the world together. Anyone who has done us wrong wont be able to anymore. Please, Kacchan." He sounded desperate.

"What the f-?"

Before he could have said anymore Izuku's plush lips made contact with his chapped ones. Crimson eyes locked with evergreen ones. Izuku's eyes closed as he fell into the kiss. Bakugou snapped out of his trance and pushed Izuku away. Izuku stammered but regained his footing as he looked at the ground. His long green hair covered his eyes.

"I'm not gay(?), dumbass. Just because Half-n-Half left you doesn't mean you can take me up as a second choice. There's no way in hell I'm joining you. I'm not someone who is so stupid to just run away from my problems."

"I see."

A long silence followed. Izuku lifted his head and glared at Bakugou. His eyes now completely empty. His mouth smothered into a scowl. "Very well then. I'll continue playing my part in this game. From now on, I won't hesitate to kill you all. I will break you down bone by bone in order to get what I want. I gave you your chance." A fist slammed into his face and he flew to the ground.

"You idiot! I promise I'll take you back to UA. Only then will I join forces with you. I will not let you torment us. I will surpass you and take you back to where you fucking belong!" Izuku's perplexed expression turned into a grin.

"Interesting, Bakugou Katsuki. I'll enjoy watching you try."

Izuku appeared behind Bakugou. His movements were sluggish, yet impossible for Bakugou to follow. When Bakugou turned Izuku lightly pushed him through a purple gate, and closed it when he had gone completely through the purple haze.
