Resurgence

"So, what are you planning to do now, Eirwyn?" Terrell approached and interrupted the two.

"Err... uhm... I think I'll wait on the package to arrive. I want to play on my own in my apartment." Eirwyn scratched his head.

"So you won't stay here..." Aria sat back down to her chair, she was dispirited.

"Don't worry, we can just meet in-game." Eirwyn forced himself to smile.

"Tsk. I thought you've changed your mind! You'll stay here, you'll play here!" Terrell was upset.

"Uhm... but what about the package? I had spent most of my savings on that you know?" Eirwyn was agitated.

Terrell activated his Anima.

He opened up an electronic banking app. He tapped on the holographic window very fast.

In a moment, Eirwyn received an AniMAIL. He opened it with his Anima.

"Seriously!?" Eirwyn was surprised by Terrell's decisive action.

"Of course! Now, inform Zettabyte that you'll change the address of the package. I doubt that you forgot the exact address of our workshop! Go, do it. Quick." Terrell was intimidating, he released an intense dark aura.

"Waa! This guild leader is so frightening! Okay, okay. Calm down." Eirwyn pretended to be scared and waved both of hands.

After being close friends and treating each other almost like real brothers in years, Eirwyn knew Terrell was a straightforward person.

He understood Terrell's sincere intention — not because he paid credits for him, but because Terrell wanted him to be part of the guild once again.

Eirwyn activated his Anima and opened AniMAIL. He typed on the holographic keyboard.

He successfully sent an AniMAIL to Zettabyte, the contents of it was a request and he gave a valid reason about it.

"Done. Are you happy now?" Eirwyn was nonchalant as he showed the mail he sent to Aria and Terrell.

"That's great! Good decision." Aria smiled and gave him a thumbs up.

"Hahaha! Certainly, I'm happy! You can see it on my face, right? Now we have three official members! Hahaha!" Terrell laughed and pointed his own face, he was acting like a fool.

"If you want to play the beta version, stop dawdling, don't waste any time. Zettabyte announced they only allow limited people to register as a beta tester." Eirwyn reminded Terrell and Aria.

"No need." Aria was carefree and sitting comfortably on her chair. She already registered herself and purchased the game package.

Aria surfed on the web to read the information related to Halcyon from the forums.

"Oh oh oh. I forgot." Terrell dashed to his computer and turned it on.

The Zettabyte website loaded, he clicked 'Apply' and skipped the terms and conditions to reach the bottommost of the walls of text and clicked 'Accept'.

He began to type rapidly on his keyboard to fill up the registration form.

Seeing they went busy, Eirwyn wouldn't bother them, so he went and checked his own computer.

When Eirwyn saw it was maintained in a good condition even after a couple of years, he was pleased.

Terrell really took care on their workshop even it was inactive in a long time.

Eirwyn took a glimpse of their huge guild emblem hanging on the wall, a raven perched on a white crescent moon. The Ravenclaw Guild.

Numerous past memories rushed inside his mind.

Those times when they prepared for a hard difficulty and a high leveled dungeon run, raiding field bosses, and fighting in massive guild wars.

He also remembered their grand celebration when they reached the top 10 in the global guild power rankings.

"Ah, those good old times." Eirwyn sighed helplessly.

He turned on his computer, it obviously worked and boot up very fast.

Eirwyn sat down on his chair and typed in his password to log-in.

"Haha! Thank goodness!" He laughed when he saw the old files in his collections kept intact.

When Eirwyn started to transfer the files to save them on his Anima, he was unaware that Terrell was lurking behind him.

"I see, now I know your fetish. So you are into femdom huh? I can't believe you are a masochist. Hehehe!"

"What are you talking about?" Eirwyn tabbed out to switch to another window.

"I've seen enough, so you can't deny anymore. Hehehe!" Terrell grinned and patted Eirwyn's shoulder.

"Duck you. So, are you done?" Eirwyn turned his chair around.

"Yeah, Aria also registered earlier than me. We could play the beta version once the packages arrive. Let's start to research more details and information about the game." Terrell put both his hands behind his head and returned to his computer.

"Okay." Eirwyn nodded.

Noon. The bright warm sun was high up on the clear blue sky in the middle of cold winter.

Inside the condominium building, on the 18th floor, the Ravenclaw Guild Workshop.

The core members and also the remaining active members of Ravenclaw Guild: Terrell, Eirwyn, and Aria ate their lunch on the sitting area of the guild workshop.

Fresh and hot Hawaiian pizza, spicy crispy fried chicken, and bottles of lemon & lime flavored soda placed atop the glass center table.

"The speculations of the gaming experts about Halcyon are almost the same. They said the game is one of a kind and entirely different from other VRMMORPGs." Aria took a bite on a slice of pizza while she relaxed her body on the sofa with a throw pillow on her lap.

"What are your thoughts Eirwyn." Terrell drank his bottle of soda.

"Zettabyte gave incomplete and vague information about the game, so I'm uncertain about it. However, this Sui Generis feature really piques my interest, we should plan what classes we will choose." Eirwyn ate a leg part of the fried chicken, each bite had a crisp sound of the crunch.

"As long as I am able to wield a halberd, I won't have any problems." Terrell chomped the Hawaiian pizza.

"What's yours?" Aria asked Eirwyn as she took another slice.

"Hmm... if I can pick anything... something similar to weaponsmith and forge swords for my own." Eirwyn scratched his chin.

"I'll be a swordswoman to wield your sword then." Aria ate her pizza.

"..." Eirwyn was speechless.

Terrell grinned and then he crunched the wing part of the fried chicken.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. A voice came out from the intercom.

"Good noon! This is Zettabyte Technologies Logistics Department, three Zephyr that you've ordered is here."
