Adventurer's Guild

In front of Eirwyn and Aria was a two-story building. It had wide signboard attached on the wall above the entrance, the text is written on it was very obvious.

A notification window popped out.

The walls of the lower floor were built with stone bricks. The timber pillars and frames support the second floor which had wooden flooring and white plaster over wattle and daub within timber frames.

The glass windows on the walls of the building were supported by wooden frames and were placed evenly.

The wide doors of the guild hall's entrance were made out of oak wood, which was the same kind of lumber used to all wooden structures of the guild hall, with iron handles attached on it.

Niel held unto the iron handle as he slowly pushed and open the doors.

'Crick'

'Cling cling!'

The interior of the guild hall was revealed to their eyes.

The wooden plank flooring, lanterns lit up with tallow candles attached on the posts and the stone brick walls, frames that supported the wooden ceiling, plenty of chairs and tables to sat on, and most importantly the board pinned with parchments containing quests and the counter.

Overall, the interior design was only simple but it gave off the feeling of being a true adventurer. However, the place was free with people.

Niel walked inside as Eirwyn and Aria followed behind and looked around the guild hall. There was a burly middle-aged man wore a tunic stood behind the counter, there were a rushlight and parchments scattered atop the surface.

"Valorous morrow to thee, Sir Bartelmeu, these people art adventurers yond haven't not register yet. Sir Reinald did order me to handeth ov'r this parchment to thee." Niel opened his bag hung on his waist and gave the parchment to the man named Bartelmeu.

"Oh, they art the ones yond ye art referring to?" Bartelmeu skimmed through the contents of the parchment.

"Aye, sir!" Niel nodded.

"Did let those folk cometh hither." Bartelmeu's eyebrows were furrowed as he aimed both of his eyes to Eirwyn and Aria.

"Ho, thee two. Sir bartelmeu is did want thee to wend hither!" Niel gestured his hand.

The two were dilly-dallying on the guild hall.

"Ouch!" Eirwyn dipped his fingers on the flames from tallow candle's wick inside the lantern attached on the pole. He felt the burn on his skin as he pulled his hand away.

Aria was loitering around and checked the board, however, she couldn't understand anything written on the parchments that pinned on the board.

"Nay lollygagging! I sayeth, cometh hither!" Bartelmeu shouted when he saw the two idling, his expression was serious.

Eirwyn and Aria were startled, the went towards the counter.

"What art thy names?" Bartelmeu placed his elbow on the counter. His expression was quite menacing.

"... Sir, I am Blizz a swordsman." Beads of sweat dripped on Eirwyn's face, the aura from Bartelmeu gave off heavy pressure to him.

"My name is Wren, I use dual swords." Aria was unmoved and responded.

"I see, so thee did want to becometh a true adventurer?"

"..." Eirwyn nodded.

"Of course!" Aria was enthusiastic.

"'t seemeth mine job is done. I wilt taketh mine leaveth. Farewell." Niel waved and walked towards the exit.

"Taketh care of thy own corse Neil." Bartelmeu

Suddenly, the door was opened.

'Cring cling!'

"Oh! Its thee Blitz, how is thy stayeth on the town?" The young boy smiled to Terrell.

"Valorous morrow to thee, Sir Niel, I'm did enjoy 't and 't wast excit'ment hither." Terrell stood on the doorway smiled back

"Yond is valorous. Thy companions art hither. I hath't something to doth Blitz. Farewell." Niel went outside the door and closed it.

'Clrring!'

Eirwyn and Aria were dumbfounded, not because Terrell arrived but he could speak as the same as the aboriginals.

"Hohoho! Blitz, thee cometh at a valorous time!"

"Aye, I hath't cometh hither to meeteth with mine cater-cousins."

"Hoho, so those folk art thy companions! Did let us don't waste any moo time. Writeth thy names and thy Sui Generis on these parchments to register on Adventurer's Guild." Bartelmeu placed a small container filled with ink, two quill pens, and a couple of high-grade parchments on the counter.

Aria didn't care about Terrell and started to write on the parchment.

"Hey Terrell, how did you speak like them?" Eirwyn was puzzled, he knew that it was impossible that this drop-out could speak archaic Early Middle English

"Hahahaha! It's very simple. Just open and look your settings." Terrell grinned.

Eirwyn wanted to find out what trick Terrell had done so he opened his 'Menu' and selected 'Settings'.

After 3 seconds, Eirwyn's vision turned back to normal.

Everything was unchanged, only the letters and the written on the parchment scattered across the counter that Eirwyn didn't understand before had become clear and comprehensible English.

"Lad, if you want to register as an adventurer, start writing your name and your Sui Generis on the parchment with your pen." Bartelmeu reminded him.

"Okay, okay." Eirwyn picked up the pen and dipped it on the ink. He began to write.

"I'm finished, sir." Aria passed her parchment to Bartelmeu.

"What wast this, a toddler's scribble? I cannot understandeth aught. Writeth this once again. Thee did waste a fine parchment." Bartelmeu set it aside on a bin to discard it.

"..." Aria was surprised and unable to speak. Her handwriting was good but she didn't expect Bartelmeu threw it away.

"Sir, hither. I did finish it." Eirwyn handed over his parchment.

She was wondering about Eirwyn's speech and looked at his parchment, her expression became sullen when she saw the contents. The writing was the same on the parchments pinned on the board that she couldn't understand.

"Hmm. So ye art a swordsman and a smith. This piques mine interest." Bartelmeu cast his eye over it.

"Why not you try it, Aria. Look at Eirwyn, its cool right?" Terrell patted her shoulders.

"What?" Aria didn't get what Terrell meant to her.

"Change your settings and you'll find out." Terrell smiled.
