Apocalypse-IX Old Rivalries

Charles's POV

Dharmendra claps and says, "Here come the kings of disgrace. You two don't deserve to be out there any more than I do!"

I ask, "The hell are you talking about? What sin have I committed to be in a holding cell like you. Besides I am here to free you. Shouldn't you be more grateful?"

Dharmendra says, "Haaaaahahaahhahahahhhahhaaahahhahahaahhhaha... You? Here to free ME? Hn.. You bloody assholes. And you want me to be grateful you for that?" He snorts in disgrace and says, "I'd rather die in here than be freed by the lines of you" He came front and put this hands on the bars, "I know all that you both have done. I know if the sins that you cover up, I know about the past of yours which you so conveniently hide. You suck up to these NPCs who can destroy you in a moment. You both preach peace but you aren't above killing other players for your gain. You massacre those weaker than you and hope for mercy from those stronger than you. Even from the beginning when we started this game together. You ditched me for power. You ditched me because I wasn't ready to such up to others like you were. You should be the ones grateful that I am not MURDERING you RIGHT NOW!" He slams the bars and goes backwards. I ask him, "Firstly, we never ditched you, you left us. Secondly, how many people have I killed on purpose? How many?"

Dharmendra snorts, "Why do you think the both of you are called the Bloody Azure and the Golden Carnagle? You think it's because of your glorious exploits in war? Because of your glorious quests? Because of your glorious relationships as the succubi of NPCs? Eh? What do you think it is? Spoiler alert!! It is not because of any of the above. It is because the both of you have killed the highest number of players. You're PK experts. You have both of you killed every player in this city at least once. Perhaps even the ones in the Pandava army. Your names are fitting. If you were called something because of your other achievements, your names would have been something better like the Azure Flash and the Golden Star. But you are called The Bloody Azure and Golden Carnage. You're both the biggest hypocrites I've seen in my life. Hehe. I really hope that your crimes come up. I want to see you whipped in front of the city. I want to see you stopped of your weapons. I want to see you stripped of your life. There's this new event coming up. I really hope that your despicable souls are lost in that."

Bhisma tells him, "Boy, be respectful to your peers. I have checked into their profiles myself many times before today. I know for sure that these two are not such people. [Turning towards my and Adi] Are you sure that you want this boy out? I don't see why you need him."

Adi says, "We need him. He is strong and clever. If I am right, we need everyone. Dharmendra, I don't know what you believe, but I shall tell you this much, neither have I nor has Karthik attacked any human without being first attacked. If you want to prove otherwise, you are free to come out and show us but I have but one request, hear me out. There's something--"

Dharmendra interrupts him, "How about this? I fight one of you. If you win, I will hear you out and decide if you are worth the trouble. If I win, I get out and hear no more of your crap!"

I step forward and say, "So be it. We'll play by dueling rules."

Dharmendra tilts his head popping his neck and does it again. He says, "Don't be mad if I kill you"

[Dueling rules are rules where the stats of the two competitors are compared and the higher stat is chosen. Ex: If strength of A is 5 and his agility 4 and strength of B 4 and agility 5, both their strengths and agilities become 5]

The expression on Bhishma's face means that he clearly fires not like this. He ordered the soldiers around to let Dharmendra out. He asks us three to follow him to the castle training area. He tells us, "Don't make a mess. It you make one, you're paying for it."

We reach the battle ground and Dharmendra it's given his armor and maces[A mace in India is similar to maces worldwide, except in India, the top is spherical].

We enter dueling mode. A window pops up

"Stats Comparison:

Stat :- Karthik : Dharmendra

Level :- 354 : 344

Attack Power :- 24992 : 23598

Hit Points :- 49984 : 47196

Strength :- 1324 : 2308

Agility :- 2357 : 1279

Elemental Affinity :- 1001 : 999

Duel stats

Attack Power: 43563

Hit Points :- 87126

Strength :- 2308

Agility :- 2357

Elemental Affinity :- 1001

You may begun the duel unto death"

[Attack Power is calculated as the product of strength, agility and element affinity each divided by fifty. When your level increases from n to n+1, your attack power increases by (2n + 1)/5. You can decide which to increase between strength and agility. Affinity can only increase when you get the blessing of some God or become one with your element. Everytime your Affinity increases, your attack power also increases.]

Why in the hell did I agree to duel rules? Now he is as fast as me and as powerful as me. But there is one thing to my bonus, my strength is as much as his. While he may not be able to control himself at such speeds, an excess strength is not a problem if I can wreck him much more easily.

We get into the ring. Dharmendra has a fierce look in his face. He says, "Take care of yourself. I am coming to destroy you" He comes at me. Since we have the same agilities, everything depends on skills. I see him coming at me quickly. He brings his mace down on me. I escape this one easily. But he lifts it up as though it is nothing. He swings his mace at me once again. I duck under this one and combine my swords into one. If he is using both hands in one mace, it won't do me any good to weaken myself by using only one hand for a sword. The next swing is right behind the last one. I block it with my sword but I am thrown backwards. Dharmendra jumps upwards and brings his mace down on me. My eyes widen as they near me. I roll aside as the made impacts the ground and causes the earth below to fall apart. I get up and go around him. With my agility, he truly is a monster. He swings again and this time it misses by a hair's breadth. The next one is aimed at my head. I raise my sword to block it but he changes the orbit of the mace mid way and attacks my mid section. I am struck by the mace and I fall down to my side a few feet away because of the force of the hit. Dharmendra uses one of his skills, Fire Mace. It's self explanatory. It makes his mace a fire mace. My vision is blurry from the previous shot and he jumps and hours my mid section with the mace. He screams, "I'll kill you. I'll become fire itself in the process! ONE WITH FIRE!!"
