Minhyun had personally sent one of his drivers to drive the three. He didn't want them to struggle getting to the restaurant. Plus, the trio did not have cars. The only person with a vehicle was Lucas with his motorcycle.
Lucas was the first to be picked up since his location was the furthest, then the driver would drive in front of the Yoona's apartment. Although they could've gotten a taxi, Minhyun insisted that there was no problem in offering a ride. He supported his thoughts by saying that because he invited them to the dinner, it was his treat. Yoona reluctantly agreed.
Yoona was shocked to see a bedazzling car arrive in front of her apartment. It was a black luxury automobile, one that she only saw in movies. She recognized the silver outlining and logo from many Hollywood blockbusters.
When she opened the door, Lucas was already inside, sitting lazily in the back seat. He was wearing a casual white button up and his hat was messy as if he had just woken up from bed. He sent them a half-effort wave before leaning his head back against the window.
The car ride was pleasant. Yoona and Eunha chatted while Lucas pitched in a few words in between. After thirty minutes, they arrived to their destination.
"We have arrived to the restaurant Sunhwa. It was a pleasure driving you all," the driver said. He tipped his hat slightly to bow as a sign of respect.
As President Minhyun's guests they must be served with absolute care and respect. Or else his head would be cut off.
"Thank you," Yoona chirped.
The other two thanked the driver as well before exiting the car. Due to his great manners, they were all in a pleasant mood.
Though Yoona didn't want to admit it, she was glad that Minhyun had offered the ride. Compared to a taxi, the car was very nice and comfortable. The beige leather seats were even comfier than Yoona's bed. If she could, she would live in that vehicle; however, it costs more than ten whole years of her rent.
But a girl could dream.
The Korean tradition restaurant they were dining at specialized in serving foods that the royalty ate during the ancient times. She was quite excited since it was her first time going to one. Usually, the fancy restaurants she'd been to were Americanized.
The building resembled a tradition Korean house with its colorful wooden walls and intricate edges. Yoona couldn't help but gasp as she made her way onto the pathway. Ancient lamps lit the stone path, leading to the entrance where Minhyun was standing tall.
His outfit was changed to a light blue collared shirt and a pair of dark slacks. When he saw Yoona, his eyes widened while a subtle blush took over his cheeks.
She was absolutely beautiful.
The dress accentuated her looks and it was hard for him to look away. He tried to hide the redness by covering the lower have of his face with his hand by pretending to clear his throat.
"You're here."
Yoona sent him an excited wave, she quickly ran up to him in her heels. "I am! I hope you didn't wait too long."
He shook his head. "I just came. Your timing was perfect."
Minhyun had actually arrived ten minutes before, but he wasn't going to tell her that. She would feel bad for coming late. To steer away from that topic, Minhyun focused on her outfit.
Yoona was wearing the dress Eunha had customized for her by transforming an over-sized white shirt. By using scissors, needles, and some thread; she created the perfect apparel for tonight. The dress was off-the-shoulder at the top, cinching at the waist to flaunt Yoona's figure.
Yoona had gasped after seeing the final result. Her friend was truly talented. The dress was absolutely stunning and she was surprised to see how a regular item can be transformed into something so fancy.
However, the dress was not the only aspect Eunha was going to fix. To add a fancier touch, Eunha added a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet to complete the look. In particular, the bracelet Minhyun had given to Yoona.
When Eunha first saw the bracelet in the jewelry box, she had shrieked. For a moment, Yoona thought that her friend saw a spider or something. Later, after Eunha calmed down, she explained that the bracelet was from a premium brand that only catered to certain individuals. To be their customer, one had to apply to a waiting list and pray to get in. Only the richest people were allowed to buy and wear their jewelry. To think that this precious object was sitting in Yoona's box. It shocked Eunha to the point of her hyperventilating.
Never in her life did she think she would be able to touch such a precious piece of jewelry. Eunha urged Yoona to wear it immediately.
Yoona didn't believe that this bracelet could be that expensive. She was given the piece when Minhyun was only nine-years-old. Besides, her name and Minhyun's was engraved on the side. That would only make this bracelet priceless.
She swore to ask Minhyun later about the answer to this mystery.
When Minhyun's eyes met with the dark red of the fox, his eyes lit in surprise and a smile lifted on his face. "You're wearing our bracelet."
His heart jumped in happiness. To be realistic, he assumed that she would've lost it when she was a child. He wouldn't have held it against her if she didn't have the bracelet anymore. Still, it was nice to see the bracelet in perfect condition.
Yoona lifted her wrist up and shook her arm, letting the bracelet dance. "Yup! It was too beautiful to exclude in my outfit."
Then she sent him a frazzled look with her nose slightly scrunched up. She had to ask him a question about the maker. "Oh yeah, Eunha was telling me something... I wanted to confirm it with you. Basically, she said that this bracelet was from a very expensive brand, almost worth millions. I need you to tell her that she's wrong."
Minhyun coughed, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "What if she isn't wrong."
She gasped. What did he mean by that? Did that mean that the bracelet currently dangling on wrist was worth more than all the money she's ever made? Costing more than her life combined? She stared at the silver object, not believing the strange thoughts in her head. This was insane.
"B-but you were o-only nine when you g-got it for me!" She exclaimed. Yoona eyed him, trying to find any faults in his expression. "You are totally lying."
"Am not."
She shook her head. "I don't believe you."
He chuckled, his eyes swirling with amusement. Then he proceeded to move a strand of her lose hair behind her ear. As his fingers lightly touched her skin, she couldn't help but shiver.
"Yoona. You are worthy to be spoiled with all the most beautiful things in the world. Even as a child, I knew this to be true."
Yoona crossed her arms. Never did she expect the cute gentlemen to turn so flirtatious. She knew he was joking around but it still surprised her since he was completely different from the cold gentleman she served the other day. Alas, she was glad he was open enough to say such things.
She moved her hand up and down to dismiss him. "Whatever you say pal."
While the two childhood friends were chatting, or in Eunha and Lucas's eyes "flirting", the two outcasts stood in the darkness, waiting for the two to end their scene. Lucas had his hands in his pockets, watching the two in distaste.
On the other hand, Eunha had her hands together and was giggling at every single line that gave her flutters. She was happy to see the happy moments sprouting between the two.
However, her happiness came to a stop when her stomach started to growl.
She leaned in to whisper in Lucas's ear. "This moment is so beautiful but my stomach is growling. What should I do?"
"Then tell them to hurry the fuck up."
He spoke to her as if she was the dumbest person on the planet.
In response Eunha shook her head rapidly, scared to intervene between the two.
Lucas let out a sigh. He walked between the couple, separating them before heading to the entrance. "Oi lovebirds, we're hungry. Let's get moving."
Eunha widened her mouth in shock. She fought the urge to run over and slap him in the head! Although she wanted to go inside to eat, she didn't expect for him to interrupt in this manner! He completely ruined the atmosphere, almost as if he deliberately tried to. Eunha was going to have a serious talk with him later.
Lucas ignored the glares from both Eunha and Minhyun as he casually walked through the restaurant doors.
He just wanted to quickly find out who the fuck this Minhyun guy was.
