Wake up Marissa, Open your eyes and follow my voice. I groaned. My body hurt from every inc and the voice that spoke to me wasn't even min, it was different and I wondered how it filled in my ears. The voice exhaled. Why does it take you so long to understand? Sweetheart, open your eyes and follow my voice.
I opened my eyes and rubbed my temple. My head throbbed. My mouth felt dry and I felt weak. I was in my room, On my bed again. I soothingly stroked the left side of my neck and I felt liquid on my fingertips. Oh no. Oh please not me I-
I inhaled deeply and glanced at my hand. I gasped. Blood. Blood dripping off my finger, but not from my finger, it was my neck. I moved quickly off from my bed and ran to my mirror. My other hand clamped on my mouth. Just like four years ago, the same thing was back on my neck. Two tiny holes punctured on my neck. Damen. He bit me! I wanted to scream, break everything that came in my way but now wasn't the time for it. Breath in, breath out. Hurry child, time drifts away with every breath taken the voice said again, desperately.
A shape, a transparent shaped of a woman appeared in my room. It was a phantom. She looked like a psychic, but she was young, probably in her twenty's. I opened my mouth to scream, but when she raised her hand, nothing came out from my mouth . I tried to scream again but again came out nothing. She stole my voice!
Follow me and I will return you voice. I shook my head. Don't be stubborn, Marissa, I'm trying to help, if I knew I was asked to help you I would've declined because you don't believe in such as me, come Marissa, let me help you. we have to hurry, I have much to show you. she glowed and died over and over again, like a fused bulb. Follow me she said. With a deep breath I took a step and another and followed at last. Alright, so I'm going crazy, I'm talking to the phantom, I'm following the phantom.
I followed her or it. Everything was quiet tonight, everyone should be asleep by now. The Enigmar mansion was beautiful too and I knew every single place to it but this I didn't know. I followed it downstairs to the main hall and it stopped when we came to a blank wall at the end of the room. It stared at the wall and for some reason I might have thought that I'm dreaming but the wall spoke.
"Giselle, is that you?" the wall whispered.
"Yes, Jade. It's me," said Giselle, the phantom.
The wall giggled quietly, which made me take a step back. The wall grumbled and shook terribly. Slowly it crumbled and fell into pieces of scrunched paper. Giselle floated inside and I carefully dropped in beside her in what it looked like a cave, when I stole a glance behind me, the wall had come back to itself and looked normal again. So I was inside or behind the wall which was slightly scary. Further away, a small candle was lit outside a... A door. Maybe this is another way out. But it wasn't. It was another room behind the wall, a hidden secret.
The phantom passed through the door and I ran after it, when I opened the door, my jaw fell. There sat on the floor, the same woman with human features in a blue dress, her mouth was open and she was still. The phantom which I now realized was the woman's spirit. The phantom in a flash of lightning, jumped inside the beautiful human who then gasped her breath. She looked at me with her beautiful blue eyes.
"Well that took you long enough," Giselle pouted.
"How- how did you do that?" I asked in amazement. My voice was back!
"It wasn't easy, I had to push my spirit out from my body to find you but unfortunately that was harder than expected. You are very stubborn," she spoke fast.
"I'm not stubborn!" I protested.
"Oh, is that so? Then let's see it. Sit down, Marissa," she ordered.
"No," I crossed my arms.
"See? You are being stubborn,"
She had a point. I sat down, cross-legged facing her.
"Good girl," she smiled. I had many questions to ask Giselle.
"Was it you the whole time in my head? Or was it my own voice?" I asked.
"It wasn't my voice, no. It wasn't me when you were back home with your family. After you arrived here, I have been watching you and everyday of your life was a worse nightmare. I know how you feel and today I wanted to help you, to discover the truth, but Marissa, are you ready to hear it?" she asked. I had heard worse in life and if this has to do with any of my family or Damen, I was ready to hear it.
"I'm ready," I said.
