Chapter 4

Boom!

In the blink of an eye, Hajime had sprinted over to Sara and was somehow able to rip off a titanium collar and threw it out the window, causing the explosion to go off outside. Everyone in the room was stunned. Not only had Hajime just ripped off a titanium collar, he did it like it was nothing.

After a couple of seconds of silence, Minato was the first one to speak. "D-Do you have some sort of power, Hajime?" He asked, staring at Hajime intensely. Hajime sighed, nodding his head. "I guess the jig is up," He said, laughing. "I've had an ability this whole time." Before Minato could respond, the unseen individual seemed to appear out of thin air as he stared at the boys.

"Well, well, well," Junpei said, a twisted grin on his face. "I knew that after I saw this drop out of your pocket, there was no way that you could have not had a power." Pulling out the steel card with the black raven on it, Junpei laughed. "It's nice to meet the man who ruined my father's career. I can't believe it was you, Hajime. Or should I say, Black Raven?"

Upon hearing that name, both Sara and Minato seemed to freeze in place. Minato couldn't believe the fact that his best friend was Black Raven. In fact, he refused to believe it. "What kind of sick p-prank is this, H-Hajime?" Minato asked, forcing himself to laugh. "T-There's no w-way you're Black Raven, right?" The guilty look on Hajime's face after this was asked was enough to tell Minato that Hajime was indeed, Black Raven.

Before anything more could be said, Sara bolted out of the classroom, tears welling up in her eyes. Unfortunately for Minato, Sara misunderstood the entire situation. She believed that it was Minato's fault that the collar was placed on her neck, and not Hajime's. In a way, that was true, but it was definitely more so because of Hajime rather than Minato.

Minato stared at Hajime in disbelief. "Well, I h-have a power t-too," He said, laughing. Hajime looked pretty shocked. "What is it?" He asked. "It's h-hard to explain, b-but it's almost l-like I'm the luckiest m-man alive." Hajime nodded, looking like he finally understood. "That's why I always seemed to have more luck around you! My ability basically let's me multiply everything about me! If we had a stat sheet like in those light novels, I could multiply all of my stats by five hundred!"

Junpei cleared his throat loudly, staring at the two. "Are you two done talking to each other? I'm getting kind of bored," He said, walking up towards Minato and Hajime. "I'd like to show off a new trick that I learned." Without any warning, a knife seemed to suddenly appear in Junpei's hand, heading towards Hajime's throat. Hajime swiftly dodge out of the way, staring at Junpei like he was an idiot. "Did you not just hear what I said?" Hajime asked.

Junpei let out a sigh. "I guess you're right," He said, gripping the knife tightly. "I'll just have to go for the weaker link." Readying his blade again, Junpei lunged at Minato, aiming at his throat. Almost like a miracle had just happened, Junpei tripped before he was able to reach Minato, falling onto the ground. "W-What the hell?" Junpei asked. Of course he expected Hajime to have dodged out of the way, but he thought that aiming for Minato would be easy. However, Junpei felt some sort of force which had caused him to trip.

Before Junpei could try anything else, Minato walked up to him and crouched beside him, staring at him. "It sure would be nice if you got knocked out," He said. As soon as those words were spoken, a rock came flying through the now broken window, hitting Junpei on the side of his head and causing him to pass out. Hajime was in disbelief for a moment. "Your power is really to that extent?" He asked. Minato nodded. "Well, we might as well finish the job."

As Hajime walked up to try and finish off Junpei, Minato stood in front of Junpei's body, blocking it. "We are not killing a-anyone," He said, staring at Hajime seriously. Hajime looked at Minato, growing angry. "What do you mean?! He's probably the one who placed the bomb collar on Sara!"

"That d-doesn't m-matter! Killing is w-wrong!"

"No it isn't! We should kill scum like this!"

Before Hajime could continue talking, Minato grew furious himself. "It sure would be nice if you fell out of the w-window," He said. Yet again like some sort of miracle happened, Hajime actually stumbled sideways and out of the window, causing him to let out a scream as he fell

As Minato started to try and think about what to do with Junpei's now unconscious body, Hajime had suddenly gotten back into the classroom. "I assume you heard what my ability was, right?" Hajime asked, grinning. Minato let out a sigh, nodding. "Y-Yeah." Minato looked a little scared, however he was determined to make sure that nobody was killed.

Sprinting at Minato at what seemed to be the speed of sound, Hajime was determined to try and finish this fight quickly. He didn't want to put Minato in pain, considering the fact he was his best friend. However, as Hajime sprinted towards him, Minato was some how able to swiftly move out of the way, causing Hajime to run into a wall, completely destroying it.

Hajime looked more furious than he was before, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he jumped out of the window, landing on his feet as he stared back up at Minato. Minato realized that there was only one thing that this meant, so without thinking, he too jumped out of the window, miraculously landing on his feet.

It was completely silent for a moment before Hajime fully sprinted at Minato yet again, trying to get close to him. Yet again, Minato dodged out of the way, staring at Hajime. "It sure would be n-nice if you got hit by a landslide," He said. A rumble shook the ground as a landslide went right in Hajime's direction, burying him under. A couple of seconds later, Hajime reappeared at the top of the landslide, covered in dirt. "I see how it is," He said.

With determination unmatched, Hajime clenched his fist and ran at Minato. However, he didn't swing at him. Instead, he hit the ground right in front of Minato, causing it to crack as Minato did his best to dodge out of the way. While Minato managed to dodge out of the way, the people in the city close to them weren't so lucky.

At least a million people were killed because of that, but the fight between Minato and Hajime continued. Trying to use the same strategy again, Hajime hit the ground in front of Minato, causing it to crack again. Of course Minato was able to dodge out of the way of it, but yet again the people in the nearby city were hit with it, causing even more deaths.

After a couple more tried and a couple million more deaths, Hajime realized that this strategy was pointless. "Can we just hurry up and get this over with?" He asked, thinking that this fight would go on forever if nothing happened.

Silence.

"It s-sure would be nice if your heart stopped working."

For about half a second, Hajime felt like he was dying. Pain consumed his chest as he pounded on it, focusing his energy on getting his heart to start working again. After finally getting it to start again, he stared at Minato, angry yet again. "You bastard!"

Rushing at Minato, Hajime looked like he was about to finally hit him.

And then he tripped over a rock.

Stumbling a couple of feet, Hajime decided that it would just be a giant waste of time for this fight to continue on. With Minato's ability to always be lucky, it was like the fight would never end. "Alright, whatever. We can let him live," Hajime said, deciding that the fight was pointless. Minato nodded in agreement, not saying anything. Before they could walk very far though, news helicopters swarmed the area. "Fuck!" Hajime said out loud as he pulled out his phone, calling Varzerel.

"I've had an ability this whole time." Before Minato could respond, the unseen individual seemed to appear out of thin air as he stared at the boys.

.

However, something in the back of his mind told him it was true. In fact, Minato felt like he had seen this all happening before. "What kind of sick p-prank is this, H-Hajime?" Minato asked, forcing himself to laugh. "Did I go b-back in time?" Hajime nodded, not saying anything else as he swiftly sprinted over to Junpei and knocked him out. "I'll explain later," Hajime said.

Leaving the now unconscious Junpei lying on the ground, Hajime and Minato both let out sighs as they walked out of the classroom. "You remember Varzerel?" Hajime asked. Minato nodded, doing his best to listen. "She has an ability to make us go back in time up to 24 hours, but we keep our memories." Minato looked impressed until Hajime spoke up again. "The problem is that there's a two week cooldown on it. Apparently it strains her too much."

Walking off into the distance, Minato stared at Hajime. "I wonder what h-happened to S-Sara," He said. Hajime nodded. "So do I." As the two walked into the distance, they couldn't help but feel exhausted. They had been through an awful lot after all, and even if they weren't physically tired, they were mentally tired.

"You know, I never learned your last name," Hajime said as he stared at Minato. Minato nodded his head. "My last name i-is-" Before Minato could finish his sentence, a boulder fell out of the sky, hitting Hajime on the head and knocking him out.
