My Graduation Day

Weeks passed by, after recovering Joy tired not to cross Drake Path, She tried to avoid him as much as she can.

Soon the time came, when to Joy all her problems were gonna end, she would have a permanent job, she would be able to earn well, and help Lisa out. "I would Graduate Today".

She told Jake that she would be late as it's her Graduation day. Jake Congratulated her.

Graduation Ceremony would begin at noon, So Joy Wen to her Morning Part-Time Job.

She came back at 11 AM and went to her room to get ready for her Graduation Ceremony.

When Joy was about to leave, Lisa came in angry, She kicked the door and shouted," What the hell is wrong with everyone"? Joy Asked Lisa what is wrong? But Lisa Didn't bother to listen to her and just went to her room and slammed the door.

Joy put her bag down and went to Lisa's room. Lisa was angry and said," Sister Please leave me alone, I don't wanna talk to you right now".Joy sat beside her and said, " Hey! Princess, What Happened? Did something happen? Did your exam not go well"?

Sister, Why we have to live this way? Why can't we live like others? Joy Hold Lisa's hand and said, " Hey! Princess, look at me, and now tell me what happened? did something happened at school"?

"This is all because we don't have money, I can't get into a nice college, My friends make fun of me and now they joke about our condition in the whole school. and they are right I am miserable, I can't afford anything, Because we are broke, If We didn't have to pay Mom's Hospital bills, we could have saved enough for my college, But now I guess I would have to live this way, listening to their taunts".

Joy cut in Lisa and Looked at said, " what you are saying, Lisa? How could you bring Mom into this, and you don't have to listen to them, we are okay, and I am trying my best to help you out, Lisa".

Lisa stood up, she turned her back on Joy.

" Okay! we will talk about it later, you get some rest, okay? don't think too much about it, everything would be fine Lisa."

Joy then told her that she is Leaving for her graduation and ceremony and they will talk in the morning.

Joy went to her Graduation Ceremony. She was worried about Lisa. She got off early from Ceremony, to not to be too late for work. joy reached at the hospital at 2 PM. Peter, Clair and Drake were waiting for Joy.

As Joy came after changing, Clair went running to her, holding flowers in her hand and congratulated Joy for graduating. She gave her Flowers and hugged her and said, " Joy, these are for you, you always brought me flowers, Now it's my turn".

Peter interrupted Clair and said, " Clair, there are others too, let us congratulate noona too." Peter congratulated Joy.

Joy thanked Clair and Peter and saw Drake waiting for his chance. Drake came forward and congratulated her. and before Drake could say anything, Peter Interrupted and said, " Hey! Noona, it's your Graduation day, We want a party." Clair agreed with him and said," Yes, He is right Joy, its Time for celebration."

But? It is my working hour and we can't party right now, let's do it in the night, Okay? said, Joy.

Okay Noona, Then we will see you at night after day shift gets over, Okay, and you don't have to do to anything we had prepared everything you just need to be there at the rooftop after your shift is over Peter said.

Okay? what have you prepared? asked Joy. Well, you will see when its time Noona. Come on time Noona, said Peter and left with Clair.

Drake waited till Clair and Peter leave and then He came to Joy and said, " So, how your Graduation ceremony Went? Was it good?

Yeah! It was pretty good. It was grand, said Joy avoiding any eye contact with Drake.

" Okay, then see you at the party," said Drake and Left.

Joy went to her work too. Joy was thinking about Lisa," Why she brought Mom all of sudden, she shouldn't have said that about Mama, Maybe she just had a bad day?"

Joy was lost in her thought while cleaning When Embrey came to her and said, " Hey Joy? you are here, I was looking for you?

Joy got hold of herself and looked at Embrey, and then said, Why? what Happened Embrey?

" I heard, you got locked out at the rooftop, I got so worried, I felt too guilty, I was the one who asked you came there and then I couldn't make it? It was an emergency and then I had to go to London for attending a seminar, I was thinking about you this whole time".

Are you Okay now? I am so sorry Joy.it was all my fault, said Embrey as she feels guilty.

It was not your fault, I am fine Embrey said joy.

Okay, then can we meet tonight, It's your graduation Day I heard, then This is the best day, I think.

Embrey Pleaded Joy. " We are having a little party at the rooftop after Day shift gets over, it would be good if you come".said Joy.

All right! I would be there said Embrey and she left. Joy finished her work on all floors and then at 4 PM Joy left to the cafeteria, she looked around to find Peter, but she didn't find her. " He is always roaming around this time to go to the cafeteria, how come he is not here today? wondered Joy.

after her lunch, Joy returned to her work, and soon it was 7 PM, Joy went to her Locker to change.

Joy Phone ranged, It was Peter," He Noona, What are you doing, its time just comes fast, we are all waiting for you, said Peter feeling all excited.

"I Would be there in 5 Minutes Peter", said Joy. then she took the elevator to the Rooftop.

Joy reached there, the rooftop door was closed.

She pushed the door and saw the rooftop lights were off. At first, joy got Scared, as she thought, what if she might get locked out again.

Joy then called out," Peter? Clair? Drake?"As Joy turned to leave, suddenly the whole rooftop was full of lights. it was glittering with different light and a big poster saying congratulation on graduating, have a great life.

Joy was so overwhelmed seeing all of this, she hugged Clair, and thanked all of them, Clair, Peter and Drake.

They all called out Joy's name and cheered her up. Joy was happy." I didn't know my graduation Day would be this great, thank you so much I guys." said Joy.

" all right! now Its time to cut cake" said Drake as he brought cake and put it on the table.

He asked Joy to blow out the candles and cut the cake.

Joy bent to Blow off the candle.

Hey? wait for me too? said Embrey. Drake looked at Embrey and asked her, what was she doing there?

" I invited her, we are friends now, Embrey Please come, you are on time, we were about to cut the cake," said Joy.

Yeah! Sure, said Embrey and she joined the group. Drake was still surprised about Why Embrey would befriend with Joy when she knew what I feel for Joy.

everybody enjoyed the cake, then Peter went to take drinks for everyone, he offered drinks to everyone.

" Clair, Juice for you, beers for me, Noona and Doctor Drake and Doctor Embrey what would you like to have"? asked Peter. I would have a beer too, said Embrey.

" Peter, I get drunk fast, and I need to get back to work too, so I would have an apple juice with Clair", said Joy. But Drake Stopped Peter and said," Joy I have talked to Jake, He said you can skip this night shift, he won't cut it from your salary".

Hmm... Okay, but I would only have one, Last time I drank, I went Crazy, said Joy. Peter Went and brought some more Beers.

He drank 5 bottles of beer, and while talking to reach other, Joy too drank 4 canes of beer, she was half drunk by now. Clair left after some time to rest, there were only Peter, Drake, Joy and Embrey left.

Drake only Drank 1cane so her was sober.he stood up and went to the side of the roof and sat on the bench where Joy sits for taking a nap.

Embrey was busy talking on her phone and then she left. Peter was so drunk that he had no idea what was he talking, whom he was talking to.

"Hey! Noona? Joy Noona, You look so much pretty when you laugh, you should laugh more Noona,

Noona? Do you like the decoration"? said, Peter.

"yeah! I love it, I had the best graduation day" said Joy in smiling. Jow was drunk, she was very bad at drinking, and she never remembers what she did or what did she say after she gets drunk.

"Peter! Peter! Peter, I am so happy, Thank you, thank you so much, you prepared all of this" for me, I am so grateful to you" said Joy and hugged him as she was drunk.

"Grateful? But I did not do anything, said Peter and Laughed. It was Drake, it was his idea, He prepared all of this, He asked us to celebrate it for you because he knew you won't celebrate this big day with anyone" said Peter and he passed out right there.

Peter was so drunk that he forgot that drake asked him not to tell Joy about all of this.

Joy stood up and looked around.

She went to Drake who was sitting on the bench, and said, " Hey!! Drake! My friend, Drake, I got graduated today, I am so happy Drake".

Joy? Joy? you are drunk we need to go down now, Okay? let's go, said Drake as he saw how Drunk Joy was. He holds her hand as Joy was couldn't handle herself, she was falling.

" No, No, I am not going anywhere, I need to thank you, You did all of this for me, Drake, you are so, so, so Nice, why you are so nice to me," said Joy looking him in the eyes.

What are you saying Joy, I didn't do anything, Peter and Clair did this all, said Drake. No, Peter told me everything, Drake You did all this to make me feel good on my Graduation Day.

Why you always do such things, It makes me feel happy, but I don't wanna get used to this, Drake, why you are so caring, I rejected you, Don't you hate me for that? said, Joy.

Joy was so drunk that she has no idea what she was talking about, she was just being honest, that beer made her being honest with drake.

When Drake heard Joy," he holds her, Looked her in the eyes and said," I can never hate you, even if you reject me thousand times, I am not gonna hate you ever".

but I rejected you, Drake, I am so happy to have you, Drake, you are my true friend, said joy.

and then both Drake and Joy looked at each other, Joy was drunk, she didn't back up this time.

It looked like that was their moment, a moment where Joy had no restriction on her heart, her heart was free to do anything she wants.

They just kept looking at each other, they were too close to each other, that for a moment Drake thought his heart stopped, Joy was standing too close to him, looking him in the eyes, that he wanted to kiss her, but he controlled himself and backed up as Joy was drunk, he did not want to harm her. He turned back to step away from Joy.

But Drunk Joy was not in her control, she holds his hand pulled him more closer. As she pulled him closer, Drake was startled, his heart skipped a beat, to him it felt like he stopped breathing, that moment became so intense. joy was so drunk that she could even kiss him.

Drake did not want to harm Joy when she was drunk, He never thought that he would ever be able to have that kind of an intense moment with Joy ever. But Drunk Joy was not thinking much.

what would Joy do, would she kiss him and have the best moment of her life, even if she is drunk or would she control herself to not regret anything later.

Either this night was gonna change both Drake and Joy's life forever, or it would be the same as always if Joy didn't lose her control.
