"My appointment didn't go any well. They pressured me to get married and I rejected them the whole dinner. Then I shouted at my father and dashed out from there."
"That's why I told you to get married," Ravi said. The next second Diya couldn't keep the phone close to her ears. "You jerk. How dare you say that. As a friend, you should support her. Did her father give you money for you to side with him?". Kaia has always been protective of her and Diya loved it.
Diya laughed. "Kaia, it's fine. Calm down. Maybe Ravi is right. I don't know what do to anymore.".
They talked for a while. After the call ended, Diya stared at the ceiling. "God, at least make me fall in love with someone. That way, I don't need to be in a loveless marriage. Is that too much to ask? Haish!"
Suddenly, a man's face crossed her mind. Diya's mouth curved into a smile on its own at the thoughts about Ajay's gentlemanly behavior. And a thought suddenly struck her. 'Wait. How am I supposed to give back the handkerchief?'
Ajay was surprised by the uninvited guest that was waiting for him at his house. "What are you doing here?".
"How rude! Can't I visit my one and only brother? Don't you miss me?". Veer didn't mind the way Ajay ignored him and sat on the sofa in front of him.
Veer was all serious when he said, "Did uncle call you? I think he's planning to sell his shares. And obviously, he blamed you for his daughter's unloyalty.".
Ajay let out a sneer. "Karl will take care of it.". Ajay knew this would happen since the day he started to 'date' Kavin's daughter. Kavin and Raj's father, Akhil, are close friends. It's a given that Kavin would support his friend's son more than the boy he helped out of pity.
Veer nodded at him. "Everything's settled then. Oh, I saw your ex-girlfriend and ex-friend at the club today. They looked very happy; clinging to each other. You and Sara decided to keep your relationship as 'only business' from the start, didn't you? Why would she lie that you didn't show her any affection when you weren't even in a real relationship? How shameless. In the end, you're the bad guy."
Ajay usually doesn't care about his reputation among others. So this incident didn't affect him that much. That's why he stayed completely quiet during his meet-up with Raj. He didn't want to go around explaining himself to everyone. Sara can lie all she wants.
Thinking back to the cafe incident brought a slight smile to Ajay's face. The reason was obvious.
Veer was stunned after seeing that smile. He smirked and said, "Now, let's talk about the most important thing. I didn't believe Karl when he told me about the cafe incident. But, after this photo I received tonight, I really want to know about this woman.".
Ajay looked at Veer for the first time since he walked in.
