Akhil looked at the way his expression changed and asked him what happened. Ajay showed his phone to Akhil. "Will you be okay?". Ajay was quiet for a while and turned to Akhil.
"Karl and my bodyguards are on a mission and I don't have many left with me. She somehow knew about it otherwise, she wouldn't be doing this. And I can't jeopardize Diya's safety by showing up with my guards. Uncle, help me.".
Diya opened her eyes slowly; adjusting her eyes to the room's brightness. She saw a bunch of thugs and a woman. From the way she acted, it was clear to Diya that she was the boss. It looked like she was in a warehouse filled with boxes.
"Oh! Look who's awake. How do you feel, darling?". Diya heard the woman talking to her but she didn't have much energy on her to reply. "Don't worry. You'll be fine in a few minutes. I'm waiting for someone. Let's wait until they arrive.".
Diya had so many questions. Why did they kidnap her? Who are all these people? Who are they waiting for? Every question of hers was answered when she saw Ajay rushing in from the entrance. He searched the room and released a relieved breath when he saw her.
"What do you think you're doing, Sara?!" he roared; inching closer to Diya. But he stopped midway when Sara took out a gun and pointed it toward Diya. "Back away Ajay or I'll burst that head of your sweet wife's open.".
Ajay backed away; clenching his jaw. "You're making a big mistake.". "Is that so? You're hurting me, Ajay. Did you forget the days we spent together already? Didn't you feel anything towards me?". Ajay snickered, "You know very well that it was just a business, Sara. I never once felt anything towards you and I never will.".
Sara tightened her hold on the gun. "But it was different for me. I loved you, Ajay. I always have been in love with you. How could you abandon me just like that?". "It was you who abandoned our so-called relationship, Sara. Does your boyfriend know that you are here?". Although Ajay looked calm, he was shaking inside. He wanted Diya to be beside him safely as soon as possible.
"I regret that Ajay. I thought I could be fine without you but I was so wrong. It was only a one-night thing.". Diya listened to their conversation calmly. She knew Ajay wouldn't have come there without any precautions so she tried her best to stay calm. "What do you want me to do now?" Ajay asked her.
Sara smiled at him. "You never disappoint me, Ajay. Here, sign this.". "What is it?". Sara's smile turned evil. "Read it, Ajay.". Ajay cautiously picked up the document and read it. "What the hell is this? I'm not gonna sign it," he said throwing the documents at her. He checked the time on his watch. 'What's taking them so long?".
Sara clicked her tongue. She picked up the documents and walked to Diya. "Will you be a good girl and sign it, darling?". Diya had goosebumps from her tone. She looked down at the documents and was shocked to see the divorce papers.
