Diya was a nervous wreck at that moment. Was she doing the right thing? What if-. "Don't you dare think about your what-ifs, again. It's almost time." Kaia said fixing Diya's hair for the nth time. Diya was too nervous to talk back. She nodded her head and saw her reflection in the mirror.
"You look beautiful, Diya." Mala was standing behind her, holding her bridal bouquet. She tightly hugged her and said, "Look at how big you've become. It feels like just yesterday I gave birth to you.". Diya wiped Mala's tears, "I love you, mom.". "I love you too, my dear. I love you too.".
Akhil's men imprisoned Sara right after they force entered the warehouse and Akhil left it to Ajay and Diya to decide what to do with her. When Ajay asked Diya about it, she told him to give her a painless punishment. It wasn't in her nature to hurt someone intentionally but she didn't want her to go unpunished. Ajay understood and decided to lock Sara in a mental asylum for lifelong.
He used that chance to destroy KM Corporation once and for all. Akhil refused to help them so Kavin and Raj's protests to save Sara went unheard.
Exactly one year ago, the car accident was so small, and Ajay had only sprained his leg but the risk Veer took, helped Diya to realize her true feelings toward Ajay, faster. Ajay almost took back the car he gifted Veer when he came to know that Diya would have been crushed by the elevator if she was even one second late, and Veer preferred to die than give up the car he cherished.
"Think about it. If I didn't do that then sister-in-law could have changed her mind and decided to divorce you. The more time she takes, the more her feelings towards you could be reduced. I helped you big time.". Ajay thought about it and he felt that he was right. Even he grew more worried each day Diya didn't give him an answer.
Veer was elated when Ajay forgave him. "By the way, how did you come to know what happened that day?". Ajay stared at him, "What do you think?". "That bastard! I'm going to kill him.".
Karl was eavesdropping behind the slightly opened door and he was dumbfounded when Ajay sold him out. He opened the door wide and shouted, "You told me that you won't tell him!". Ajay calmly took his seat; opening a file. "I didn't. He figured it out on his own. Did you hear me saying your name?". Karl had nothing to say.
"You! Come here, you traitor!". Ajay shook his head at them. Thanks to them, he never got bored.
Balu refused to come to the wedding but it didn't affect Diya. She preferred him not to come anyway as she wanted to be fully happy on her big day without having to deal with her problematic father. Diya wanted Mala to walk her down the aisle and Mala delightedly accepted the offer.
"You're ready, dear?". Diya nervously nodded her head. The door opened and the music started to play. Diya looked around and saw Ravi and Mira with their arms linked; smiling at each other, and her sisters, her coworkers, and her school kids. The kids were happily waving their hands at her.
On the other side, she saw Karl and Veer giving her the thumbs up and Akhil gently smiling at her. Then she saw him, her husband looking at her with the same brightest smile he had when she said yes to marrying him, for real this time.
She knew at that moment. He was the one. The one she told Ravi about. The one who was worth it even if she ended up losing everything she had.

The god turned to look at the kid who was sleeping soundly. "You didn't hear the whole story, did you? Never mind. You're not gonna remember anything once I send you down there anyways.".
He gently patted the kid's head. "Your mother and father suffered a lot in their life since they were children. So be good to them. I can promise you one thing though. You'll live a great life. Ajay and Diya will make sure of that.".
