"I assumed, I have the same case as those few people." Liu Zilong said. When he was bleeding more than he thought he should, he simply concluded that maybe he was shot in a major artery or something. But now, it was clearly not the situation.
"Yes. Since that is the case, authorities would give us updates with their investigation." Mr. Liu answered as he thought deeply about it. He was standing near the window and from his position he could see that there were still some reporters gathered and interviewing the different families of the victims. As for the meantime, they didn't know the final tally of casualties of the incident.
"Could we trust their investigation?" The First Young Master Liu asked curiously.
"We don't have much of a choice for now, but just in case I already asked our people to do our own investigation. We can compare the results afterwards."
"I see. Then it's better to stay here longer. It would be easier for us to be informed of any development." Although he didn't really want to be confined for long in a certain place, he also wanted to know the results.
Before Mr. Liu could answer, his phone rang thus he excused himself and answered the call. When it ended, his face wasn't really that good.
"What's wrong, Dad?"
"There was a commotion downstairs earlier. A man claimed that the authorities basically already has an idea about the incident beforehand but they still didn't increase the security of the area." One of his men witnessed the outburst of an old man. His wife and son died during the incident.
"It's either they didn't take it seriously or someone deliberately blocked the report?"
"Whichever it is, both only showed there's something going on in this country's police force. But still, I believe this is the work of only few people." Mr. Liu concluded. There would always be crooked officers in any government department but that didn't mean all of them were.
Liu Zilong didn't answer but he actually agreed to what his father said. Their family personally experienced both type of people in the police force. The father of the Ye siblings was the best example of a real law enforcement officer up until to his last breath.

The younger Liu couple decided to dine in a seafood restaurant nearby as it was not the most crowded place in the area.
For this lunch with his wife, Liu Zijian planned to discuss two things. First, her request to learn marksmanship and second their new home. For someone who planned in detail, he already prepared all necessary things and she only needed to choose and if she wanted to, suggest or change something.
"I have the list of academies where you can attend to learn the skill of shooting but I will teach you first the basics." He said nonchalantly.
Her lips formed an 'o' shaped when she heard her husband. She was a bit surprised. She didn't know Liu Zijian was actually well-informed with the skill she wanted to learn. She wondered since he wanted to teach her, it would mean he's kind of an expert? Was that the reason why he agreed easily before?
Seeing her surprised reaction, he simply explained that they were taught about it before. He didn't elaborate much though.
Han Meixiu just nodded and asked, "When should we start?" She knew her husband's a busy man. If he's planning to teach her, would it mean she had to wait?
"This Saturday we'll go to a shooting range. Prior to that, you can read anything about the fundamentals of it. Use any resources that you're comfortable with." He continued.
'That's so soon.' She inwardly concluded. She thought it would be next week or next month. She actually liked that it would be tomorrow. It meant she would change her original plan to visit her apartment with Li Xiaozhi.
"Can I read about it after we go home? I still haven't finish the task I was assigned to earlier." Although she's not someone who's very enthusiastic when working at least she didn't want to do her work half way. If she started something, it would be hard for her not to finish it.
"Sure." He satisfyingly answered with a slight smile on his gorgeous face. He liked people who were dedicated and responsible to their assigned work. It was a good thing that his wife's one of those.
Han Meixiu was taken aback by the sudden treat for her eyes. It was simply a professional smile but since it was Liu Zijian who did, it was extremely charming for her. His smile was contagious. She subconsciously responded with a warm and simple smile as well.
"You can also choose the house you want us to live in. The earlier we can move the better. I already scanned some good ones, you can decide which one do you want." He continued to his next agenda. He wanted Han Meixiu to choose freely about the house they would both live in. He already narrowed down the options so it would be easier for her to decide.
"Alright." She simply answered.
After they finished their lunch, they went back to work.
Inside the head chief's office, the two were seriously focused on what they're doing. From time to time, Han Meixiu would ask Liu Zijian for further instructions before going back to her seat.
It was like what Ye Ming observed earlier, they were well-coordinated. They didn't need to elaborate further what the other wanted to achieve as they seemed to perfectly understand what kind of result the other person desired. With this kind of scenario, the accumulated works that were originally good for three to four days, were finished within a day.
Ye Ming learnt his lesson earlier so before he decided to buy his boss' dinner like how he usually did, he asked Liu Zijian first.
The latter was a bit surprised. He wasn't aware about the time. He then looked at his wife first who was still busy before he answered.
"I'll call you after we decide."
Ye Ming bowed before he went out of the room. When he left, Liu Zijian stood up and walked towards Han Meixiu.
