Her Story

Mr. Liu was a step behind her and nodded his head as if telling them to do what she said.

Feeling puzzled and worried at the same time, the three abode.

The older woman sat beside Han Meixiu and smiled lovingly as she assured her she's really okay by taking her hand and gently pressing it. Among the three people her daughter in law had the most worried expression.

The younger woman returned her gesture.

"Mom, are you really okay?" Liu Zilong was the only one among the three of them who witnessed Madam Liu's sudden breakdown when they were on their way to this room. Looking at his mom, she seemed really fine.

"I am." She said in a firm voice. The original plan was to tell her daughter in law without her presence to protect her, she wanted to personally tell her story to Han Meixiu. She thought it's about time to face that dark shadow she's been trying to avoid.

When she told her husband about her decision, she clearly saw his hesitation but later on she was able to persuade him.

She had to admit that her 'attack' earlier was due to recalling some of those painful memories. But she was able to make them under control thus they eventually continued. Mr. Liu actually suggested to take a rest but she simply answered that it's her story that she wanted to be the one to tell it to her.

Although she didn't know how much Liu Zilong told Han Meixiu before they arrived, she guessed he either just started or simplified the story. Otherwise her daughter's in law's reaction wouldn't be as calm as now.

When everyone settled in, Madam Liu started to speak.

"I personally want to tell you my side of the story." She said calmly.

Both the Liu siblings looked at each other then looked at their father. They weren't aware about this.

But Mr. Liu didn't pay them any attention. He was worriedly looking at his wife. He knew it would not be easy for her but he actually agreed to finally let their children hear her story.

Since both the Young Masters didn't get any objection from their father, they withdrew their gazes and solemnly looked at their mother.

Han Meixiu who was the only person not fully aware of Madam Liu's situation in the past felt an indescribable feeling. The reaction of the people around her gave her an idea that whatever she was about to hear would change her initial perspective of her mother in law.

"I was abducted. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wasn't the original target. It was my friend, Ye Ying Yi." Madam Liu started. There was a gentle smile on her face as she said the name.

Ye Ying Yi was her best friend. They started as laboratory partners in their university days. They were the type of friends that even though they didn't talk often they're still very close.

During the time that she was 'courting' Mr. Liu, Ye Ying Yi was already married to a police officer and he was assigned in the southern part of the country thus she moved out of the city.

That day her best friend was supposed to be visiting Q City thus they decided to meet where they usually hang out when they were still students.

In the end, they weren't able to meet. When she was rescued, her best friend was already dead but she found it out later on. That particular truth also added to her depression and emotional breakdown.

"Ye Ying Yi?" Han Meixiu asked. "Is she related to…" She continued and looked at Liu Zijian.

"She's their mother." He answered. When he first found out this, he wanted to blame the Ye Family for his mother's sufferings but when he heard his mother's word about how she cherished her best friend, he swallowed his anger. He also found out when he met the Ye siblings that they suffered much as they lost both of their parents.

Madam Liu said several times, she didn't want Ye Ying Yi experience what she had been through. Thus if she could go back to that particular time, she would do exactly the same. But she would at least leave a warning for Ying Yi.

"When they found out they got the wrong person, I was transferred into another place. It was good that they didn't kill me right that instant. If I'm not mistaken I was sold instead." Madam Liu said.

Before she could continue further, Mr. Liu spoke.

"You don't need to recall everything." He could sense that her emotions were starting to be out of control as her breathing became erratic. He stood up and walked towards the older woman. He placed his hand on her shoulder seemingly giving her a support she badly needed.

Madam Liu leaned her head on his arm and smiled subtly before she continued.

"If you want you can tell them." In the end she still couldn't tell entirely what happened to her without becoming unstable.

Mr. Liu nodded. He understood that it was her limit. The first time she told him about this, she became extremely upset and emotionally unstable. In between her shouts was a nightmare she was bounded to recall over and over again.

"She was sold by black.com to Hisei's. It's an underground laboratory known for doing organ extraction. They didn't need any normal organs, they needed to experiment extracting a uterus from a living individual instead of a dead donor."

Han Meixiu breathe was halted in shock after she heard the last statement.

Uterus transplant!

She read once in a medical journal when she was accompanying Li Xiaozhi in the library as the latter was reviewing for her final examinations. Since the topic caught her attention she eventually pick it up. She never imagined someone so close to her would experience this kind of thing.

Her entire being shook.

How heartless!

Inhumane!

Her mind was refusing to accept that her beloved Mommy Yi experienced that kind of thing. And it was thanks to that same organization her father belonged to.
