A Serious Argument and an Emotional Apology

It was 2:30 in the afternoon, and I walked upstairs to film production class. As I closed in towards the classroom doors, out came Michelle who was in a very foul mood.

"Christine, where have you been?" Michelle scolded me. "Weren't you supposed to attend photography class earlier today?"

I bit my lips and shivered with so much tension I could not comprehend what is going on.

"Michelle, I didn't know we have photography class today," my voice cracked under pressure.

Continuing to explain my side of the story, my body started sweating profusely while trying to admit the truth.

"Michelle, I wound up having lunch with Claire, Kyla and Carson. I didn't know photography class was at 11:20 in the morning. My thought was that it started at 1:00 p.m. Unfortunately my watch must have messed up. "

"You should've memorized the schedule," Michelle reacted by tapping the fence hard with her left hand. "I've been waiting for you in class earlier but not a single soul of yours came to the room."

Frustrated, Michelle grinned and pointed her finger at me. She severely chastised me some more.

"Damn it Christine. I'm so disappointed with you today," Michelle raised her voice extremely hard the other students paid attention. "You're supposed to be smart and responsible, but what happened this afternoon was sheer recklessness and terrible responsibility. Be bitterly ashamed of yourself."

"But Michelle," I reacted back.

"No Christine, don't explain further," Michelle angrily responded. "Just leave me alone for now and discover your own way."

I rushed downstairs in tears, unable to fathom what just happened. Upon sitting down on one of the benches, I wrapped myself up and continued crying in overwhelming despair.

At that moment my fists began repeatedly pounding the wood in disgust. After that, I screamed relentlessly at the top of my voice, as if to tragically lose a dear friend.

Just then, Ella came out to console me.

"Christine," Ella frantically called my name out of sheer concern. "Why are you crying furiously? And why are you shouting so loudly?"

"Leave me alone," I yelled back. "What happened was none of your business. Just go."

"But Christine," Ella replied nervously.

"I said get out," my angry voice telling Ella to leave.

After hesitating for a moment, Ella reluctantly walked back to the building by herself. Meanwhile, I continued sitting on the bench alone, tears still falling relentlessly from my two eyes.

Just then, however, rain began to pour inside the campus. I stayed on the bench and ignored the warnings of other students, choosing to get wet on my own accord.

A short time later, however, Michelle stepped out of the building with a look of distress on her face. She widened her eyes and saw me completely drenched in the rain.

"Christine, what the hell are you doing?" Michelle worriedly shouted at me. "You might get sick."

"Didn't you tell me to leave you alone?" my voice seething in anger. "Just let me rot in here and go."

Feeling a sense of regret, Michelle approached me on the bench and knelt. Amid the heavy downpour, she started crying and begged for forgiveness.

"Christine, I didn't mean to shout at you. Nor did I intend to say some harsh things too. The only reason we had an argument like that was to give you a lesson in time management. We make mistakes sometimes, but there are always ways to correct them."

I raised my head up and stared towards Michelle eye-to-eye. She continued her apology.

"Christine, if you feel I was too harsh and strict regarding your actions today then my apologies," Michelle tearfully admitted. "I did not mean to hurt your feelings so much. Will you forgive me?"

At first I felt hesitant to accept Michelle's apology, even turning my head away from her. But friends like us argue sometimes, and in the end such disagreements motivated our desires to grow stronger together.

Eventually, I directed my head back towards a kneeling Michelle and held her left hand.

"Michelle, I accept your apology," I tearfully answered.

My face drenched in a mix of rain and tears, I stood up and walked towards the covered walkway. Michelle subsequently brought her towel and tucked me in.

After a profound hug, we walked back to the classroom where Ella eagerly awaited.

Luckily for us, however, the professor had not arrived yet. But after waiting inside for 30 minutes, film production class was called off yet again.

Michelle and Ella promptly escorted me to the latter's room where she brought along some fresh clothes. Upon changing to Ella's clothes, I thoroughly explained what happened earlier between Michelle and myself.

"At least you're in good terms again," Ella joyfully commented. "But I don't understand why Christine had to sit gloomily on the bench amid all the relentless rain."

"Well my apologies for shouting at you Ella," I uttered back. "It was unexpected considering my sensitive disposition back then."

"Oh well," Ella shrugged her shoulders in bewilderment. "Lifelong friends do fight sometimes but eventually we always find a way to survive."

Moments later, Michelle received a tweet saying this Friday's makeup class will follow a Monday schedule.

"Christine, I hope you learned your lesson," she reminded me of the schedule.

Just then, however Michelle turned around and found me laying on the floor unconscious.

"Christine? Christine?" she screamed in agony. "Ella please assist me."

Unfortunately, her right arm remained in a sling and she could not carry me at all.

"What's wrong with Christine?" Ella worriedly said upon leaving the bathroom.

"She just collapsed again," Michelle dejectedly informed her. "It was so unexpected."

Ella carried my unconscious body to the school clinic where they supplied me some smelling salts. Upon regaining consciousness, I sat up on the bed feeling dizzy.

"My head is feeling a little light," I promptly informed the doctor.

After naturally giving me some medicine, Ella and Michelle gently carried my frail body towards the former's condominium. They carefully laid me down to bed and I fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Michelle promptly called both her driver and Charissa on the phone. She informed them of her decision to stay at Ella's room with me for the night.
