Chapter 39

I think I'm getting sick, or maybe the stress of all this is getting to me, for once Lucien excuses himself to see if the girl is ok another wave of heat hits me hard, and this time drinking water does not help so I just go straight to the bathroom downstairs and start throwing water on my face and neck, eager for a cold bath but not having a shower downstairs, and not wanting to look inconspicuous I had to do with what I got, so tap water it is.

My breathing is uneven as my whole body feels like it is on fire, and I know it be even stranger than a normal flue because fever does not work this way, it doesn't come and go just like that, and it doesn't resemble a pit of fire growing and stretching the way this one is.
