Chapter 44

I don't know what to say, so I say nothing at all, being smart once in my life for once because I can tell Lucien is beyond furious, he is livid as hell, fear and anger fueling him into a deep scowl that promised hell to those who dared harm one of his own.

I keep my mouth glued shut as we run back to the car, enter and move out and back the road we came from at a dangerous speed, but the little I could grasp from the still ongoing conversation through the phone is that the situation is bad… really bad.
