Two Weeks later.....
Two weeks had passed since what many called the Laiah Screech, named after Mr. L. Cambridge himself and nicknamed the Thanos Snap by Milton High students. The total world population during those few minutes had fallen by 30%. Many as a result had criticized Milton City's government which impeached and arrested several members for corruption including Tod Kelland. An emergency election was held and Asther was chosen as the new mayor after an awe-inspiring speech after the tragedy. As the city rebuilds itself, Shelly jogs up the hill for her daily routine early morning weekend exercise. She has been taken custody by Elson and now lives alongside Dwayne. She also faced charges for killing several government personnel and breaking in into Ardent Industries alongside Dwayne but charges had been taken back for saving the world from destruction. She enters the cemetery where she walks to her parent's grave.
"Hi dad, mum." She stammered as she sees the newly erected graves. She knows herself that her parents weren't the best after making her constantly slog through the day for results, but she felt they didn't deserve this kind of brutal treatment for their work. She thanks them for taking care of her for the past few years as bows in respect. She looks up in the dark skies in the early morning, she thinks she spots a large flying pencil in the sky. She rubs her eyes thinking it was the figment of her imagination. She suddenly hears a growl from a car nearby. It was Dwayne. He has lately got himself a driving license after flawlessly passing his tests. He was glad that he finally get to play with his parents toys as he constantly test drive his parents rides, driving up the road in the Black and White Lamborghini Centenario after spotting Shelly, he comes to a stop nearby as he rolls down the window. "You wanna come along? I'm going up the hill nearby." He asked as Shelly after some thinking jumps into his ride, driving up to a nearby hill.
"Where did Elson went?" Shelly asked, with questionable looks after Dwayne starts to quickly accelerate uphill. Doing a Scandinavian flick before he answered, "Oh he was promoted for his actions by the FBI. He is now heading an investigation in Saudi Arabia."
"Typical Dwayne..." she thought to herself as Dwayne makes it up the hill. Stopping the car as they got out, observing the city as it rebuilds itself. "You know Dwayne, I was actually kind of thankful that the experiments happened, otherwise we won't be where we are today. Allowing me to have these powers and feel myself again." Shelly said as he guiltily replied, "Umm... your welcome..." he tried to hold her hands but she flinched
"We are not there yet." She said as he quickly changed topic, "Regardless, I pity Jack and his friends for what they had gone through..."
"Yeah it's a pity..." Shelly said before stopping to drink from her water bottle, she then continued, "You saw what had happened to Zoe and Zane?"
"Yeah I saw her proposing to Zane in the club nearby. Zane later told me that he also kinda like her and her proposal was his lucky break from acting first." Dwayne said as Shelly rolled her eyes, "Wow." As they looked at the scenery, Shelly looks up at the sky again. The pencil was still there. "Weird." She thought to herself as she placed her hand shoulder-to-shoulder to Dwaynes surprise, They giggled after a glaring match before he then decides to do the same when two slime blobs appear.
"Wait I thought you both died!" Dwayne looked surprised as Bryony and Hektor emerged. "We managed to plop some of the slime onto you before we mostly solidified." Bryony said as Hektor cut in, "Took us some time to grow back but it feels great now." The both smiled as they looked upon the horizon, the sun rising to a new Milton City. But soon something was clear. A pencil-like thing appeared in the sky to the shock of many. The pencil was yellow and black two tone with a perfect centered graphite core, it was paired with a hexagonal shaft and its length seemed to stretch on for miles as the pencil was seen to be pointed at a 45 degree direction. It drew a pointed arrow before it smashed into nearby buildings, the arrow continuing along before dispersing with a black dot on a building, it's windows smashing into pieces as graphite drips onto the ground. "I think it's time we investigate." Dwayne said as Shelly nods, rushing into the car as they head to the site.
