Hostile

They were pushed around, heading down the steps and into a dark corridor. Dwayne is disoriented in the dark. The painful tases have hurt his weak body badly. They wandered through cells full of human skeletons as they were kicked in the chest into the cell. Their weak and shrunk bodies slumping to the floor unconscious as Kaminev watched. He cursed at the guards as they left. He tries to wake them but to no avail. "The humans are doomed..." he mumbled to himself in Russian. Lying on the metallic red metal as he watches the stormy clouds at a small window nearby.

Meanwhile across the portal

"Take the both of them away!" Elson ordered as Kathryn and Daniel are moved into a Jeep. They are not sure where they are headed but they know they are in hot soup with that machine being discovered. Zoe watches the SUV drive off, clenching her fist still from the anger inside her. Furious as to how much was hidden from her with the cold winds the only ones to calm her down with their light breezes.

"What are we going to do about them? They still have school tomorrow!" Zane asked Elson, questioning him for not stopping his adopted children from entering that portal. "I already informed the school about their absence. They'll have to suffer the consequences of aiding them to open up the portal." Zane looks up at Elson, sulking as to how the trio had grown apart so quickly. "Now head back home. Asther is waiting for you." Zane wanted to tell him about the car but he brushes him aside. "As for you..." he put his hands behind his back as he continued, " you would be sent back to your school and stay at their boarding school for now." Zoe looks at Elson, her hands crossed as she left, taking her bag with her. Zane sighs, shaking his head in sadness as he is escorted to another Jeep. "Call in the military just in case," Elson radios in. "Sure. They are being their military vehicles right now." Yusuf radios in, his response muffled by lots of footsteps of boots and engines.

At first nothingness. Dwayne looks around his surroundings. The place was completely quiet with white flooring and a clear blue sky. Suddenly he looks to find dark red stormy clouds forming nearby. Lightning strikes the ground as the landscape around it turns to darkness. Dark hands resembling slime emerge from the shadows, moving quickly towards him. Dwayne makes a run for it. As he ran he hears voices.

"Your hosts are terrible!" Silston mumbled; "He is not ready to be a leader!" Hektor shouted from behind. Dwayne looks around, remembering how the both of them did not said that earlier. "It's just your imagination... It's just your imagination..." He hastened, trying to move faster, every step he made however, this darkness seemingly moved closer and closer to him. "DWAYNE!!!" He looks behind to see hands grabbing his leg, pulling him towards the darkness. In the distance he sees skeletons around with a dark and desolate landscape laid around him. "No No NONONONO!" He screams as he watches dark clouds forming near him, seemingly in glee, prepared to vaporize him with lightning. He then closes his eyes, opening to realize that it was just a nightmare.

"You are really loud you know," Dwayne looks to see a battered Shelly leaning back on the wall, her face sadden in defeat, her eyes losing the confidence and drive she once had. The protector against bullies is now torn apart mentally by the 'bullies'. She sighed before continuing , "as your friend, I was surprised how strong and smart you become a few weeks ago, seemingly learning so quickly unlike me..."

She looks down as Dwayne interrupts, "You know, your even better than me."

"Oh really? As a child, I struggled to be the best, I am a worry freak, constantly unhappy and worried about how my parents would react when they see me falling behind. So I worked hard, trying to improve my self physically and mentally. But when I see you gain that much muscle and intellect in so little time, I was envious." Shelly sighs as Dwayne looks at her, his face sadden with grief and fear.

"You must have been mistaken. I am a very weak person. When I see you always, I am always jealous. You do well and have a strong physique from the start. Those bullies don't even have a chance against you. You may know your parents but I don't even know what they exactly work as. They themselves told me they are bankers, while my uncle tells me they are more than that. I don't even know how they managed to accumulate so much wealth...they don't even speak of my grandparents." He hesitates, wondering if he should say it. But decides to break the ice anyway, "Do you know I had really liked you. Whenever I see other boys with you earlier on in our school years, I get really jealous. But I always know that I'm look like a floppy failure. How am I supposed to chase you?"

"Well I guess we are failures by our own definitions..." Shelly said, despondent as Dwayne nods his head. She lay down on his shoulders. Acknowledging his love. He lay down next to her, glad. "I guess so..." Kaminev mumbles in Russian, the duo looks at him. "What are you saying?" Dwayne asked, but the lack of proper communication is making things uncomfortable, "You should really learn more languages. It will help you greatly." Kaminev nods when loud chanting, their loud slushing seemingly headed towards the portal. Slimes suddenly move into the chambers. They looked like humanoids but were skinny like Dwayne, their slushing were also still persistent. They were pushed out aggressively and chained together by each slime. "Come with us."
