Forget the City

"PRINCESS! COME HERE THIS INSTANCE!" The king's voice echoed, his voice deep and piercing as well. Tears fell down as she climbs down. Step by step, she can feel pain rushing from her feet. It pains her so much, that dream is a courage away, yet she is still held by the chain her parents set upon her. She jumps to the ground, standing still, her hands are holding her skirt. She is not looking at her father; tears began to stream down her face. She bites her lips to restrain the sobs. The guards take pity on the princess, they know why she can't go out. They know why the King and Queen are right. Sis Jera stands behind one of the guards, she cannot interfere when the King is already present. "Railey, my sweet daughter..." the king said softly, walking towards the crying princess. She thought that he cares for her tears, she ran towards him for comfort and a sweet, warm, and loving hug but she's mistaken. She forgot who her father is, he's not a father figure, he will never be. That is the thought that melted in her heart when her father slapped her before she can even put her arms around the King. Everyone gasped, the queen, once again acted as if she did not saw her child get hurt. The Princess fell down with the strength she received, touching her cheek, she can't feel the pain in her face, but in her chest. Some guards were on their feet to help the Princess but the King stopped them. Sis Jera watched painfully as the Princess' tears continuously flow down. She can't do anything, for now, the Princess has to be strong to be able to stand once again in the future. "How dare you! You dare to leave us! You ungrateful sneaky little--" the King was stopped by the Queen, Princess Railey noticed that this is the first time her mother intervene with something that is she is involved. "Hush, love. We do not want your people to hear something awful from their King's mouth. Especially, about an awful reason." then she looked at Princess Railey. Awful? Is that how she sees her daughter? Is she just an awful reason? Railey questioned herself. Her eyes slowly lose the spark. "Forget the city." Her father said to her, a voice so low, so soft, but was able to pierce and break her heart to pieces. The King and Queen went back to the castle but before entering, the King whispered something to the guard who then walked towards her. He helps the Princess stand with Sis Jera. "I hate this place." The Princess whispered to Sis Jera. Her eyes suddenly changed colors which made Sis Jera nervous, not because it changed, but because of the color, it changed into yellow. "I can do this, go on with your work." Sis Jera said to the guard, carefully assisting the Princess, the guard noticed the Princess' eyes and nods. They know what it means, they have to prepare. "We'll tell the others." the guard whispered, Sis Jera nods while holding the Princess who is almost half awake yet her tears still stream down with her beautiful yellow eyes. "Don't worry, you'll be fine." and they went on their way to her room.

On the other side, the King felt a piercing headache. He slowly seats down to his throne, the queen assisting him. "Why do you have to stop her? You should've let her find out on her own!" the Queen said, sitting to her throne. "We can't. She, that girl, we can't control her. I did a horrible thing, I should've talked to her. But my temper can't hold it back." He massages his head, putting his crown in his lap. "If only she's here..." He said, hitting the Queen's nerve. "She will understand Railey, she can contain that curious mind. They are alike." The Queen pretends that she didn't hear a word about the concubine. Sis Jera suddenly appeared, with a piercing look at the Queen, making the Queen feel sad for a moment; she kneels down. "Your Highness, the Princess is already sleeping. I would like to report her state, she, the Princess' eyes turned to yellow color. The first sign is already a bit higher than expected." The Queen got irritated, while the King stands up, amazed. "She's ready! But, she's angry with me." he went down the throne walking back and forth. "Well, if you let me explain to her in the past, this will not happen." Sis Jera said, making the King angry. " Are you saying that I did wrong?" He stands in front of the kneeling lady. "Stop," the Queen said standing up, afraid of what the King may do to Sis Jera. "Apologize." she ordered to Sis Jera who still looks at her with that piercing eyes. "Apologies, my King." she said, bowing her head. "Call the Meisters, it's time. The Kingdom also cannot hold it anymore. We need her." The King ordered, looking at the glass window where you can clearly see the destroyed part of the kingdom which the sleeping Princess cannot see.

The wind blows, waking up the Princess who is shocked to see a part of the bed that is broken, it's as if someone broke them, but her hand is over that part and no one seems to be around. "What?" she asks herself looking at her hand. "I can't control it?" Sis Jera heard it, dumbfounded that the Princess knew what she has. Things seem to be interesting, Sis Jera thought before going inside the room.
