Seraphina was on her way home from school when her phone dinged. It was granny Davis.
"Code Red summer. A girl named Beatrice is on our tail. I'm at a coffee shop near Z market with your grandmother."
It was Beatrice again. When was she goimg to give up? Seraphina wasn't worried because she knew the older generation would take care of it.
"I leave her in your care granny *smileyface*"
"Trust your grannys. We've got you *wink*".
I laughed to myself. Beatrice was in for fun with those two.
Without second thought, I dialed Quincy's number.
"You're done with class babe?"
"Yes," I answered in a sad voice.
"What's wrong? You don't sound good."
I could hear worry in his voice.
"I'm not in a good mood. Are you at the company?"
"Yeah, do you wanna come over?"
"Okay. I'll see you in a bit."
I gave an evil smile after the call ended. He had to comfort me for the emotional stress his 'classmate' was causing me. I headed straight for Quincy's company to complete my heartbroken act.
Coffee shop near Z market...
"Did you also visit the market?" Alice asked.
"Yes. I just walked around for a bit."
"What do you do?" Janet asked lazily.
To be honest, she wasn't a bit curious about this girl that wanted to snatch away her grandson-in-law.
Beatrice wasn't interested in Janet either. Her target was Alice, but she needed to show her kind side so that Alice would feel her sincerity, so she answered gently.
"I'm a beauty consultant. I attend to customers who ask about skincare products that would work best for them. I recommend beauty products in live videos also. I collaborate with beauty companies too based on customer feedbacks and reviews."
She was proud of her job. Thanks to it, she'd come in contact with popular artistes and important personalities. She was different from 'regular' people in her fantansy.
"Hmmn... That's a pretty good job. No wonder your skin looks so good young lady," Alice played along with her.
"Yes ma'am. It's a convenient job also."
'A little too convenient if you ask me. She clearly has too much time at hand to stalk older people,' Alice thought as she rolled her eyes at Beatrice.
Quincy's company
"Babe, what's wrong?" I went up to her as soon as she walked in through the door. It worried me the way she sounded over the phone.
"It's nothing really. Someone just ruined my mood, that's all."
"The professor?" I asked.
"No... Beatrice."
"You met with her?"
"More like she met with your grandma."
"She's with granny?" I asked surprisingly. How had Beatrice found my grandmother?
Summer showed me the text she received and boy was I furious. I picked up my phone and dialed granny's number.
"Quincy dear," she said over the phone.
"Where are you grandma?" I asked impatiently.
"Coffee shop next to Z market."
"Okay. I'm bringing Summer."
"Good choice, " she chuckled.
"We don't really have to go you know," summer said softly. Her voice melted my heart into a messy puddle.
"She made you upset, of course I have to go sort things out. Only I have the permission to make you upset."
She lifted her eyebrow at me, daring me to upset her.
"Not that I would. I was just saying. I'll make you happy for the rest of our lives." I took the chance to grab her lips and explore her mouth.
After kissing for God-knows how many minutes, we headed to
