Qi Meng

Fourth day of the Ninth month of the present year, year of the dog.

"Oongeh... ooongehhh..."

Middle Continent, Twin Valley Village.

Mountain ranges surrounded a valley with a beautiful green scenery and clear blue sky above it.

Water is smoothly flowing down a river at the center of the valley.

Since time immemorial, the landform is occupied by two small clans, the Qi Clan and the Chu Clan.

The two clans had lived harmoniously together since the ancient past and thus the valley was then called Twin Valley as to commemorate the two clans living together in harmony.

In an unadorned courtyard within the valley, with walls lacking any decorations and the floors creaking, a loud cry can be heard. It is from a baby that was welcomed to this world just now.

"Let us call him Meng, Qi Meng."

"One day you shall show the whole world how mighty once our clan is." Qi Yu said smilingly full of aspirations.

Qi Zi smiled at him and said, "That's a good name, befitting for a future ruler of our clan."

The husband and wife couple cheerfully celebrated in their tiny abode as the night pass.

Unlike other mortal mothers, Qi Zi can move freely without any fatigue after giving birth to Qi Meng due to her high cultivation of peak stage Dao Paragon realm. Before going to bed, she meditated for a while to recover and have her strength replenished to the peak.

The next day, within the Qi Clan, Qi Yu is sitting down inside a huge hall together with a few elders.

"In our clan, there is an ironclad decree that once the sect master bears a male child, our clan's prime male descendant shall be engaged to the Chu clan's female prime descendant. We hope you understand this sect master." Prime Elder Qi Mu told Sect Master Qi Yu in a serious tone.

As the one being with the strongest cultivation among the elders, a mid-Stage Dao Emperor, Elder Qi Mu is considered as the prime elder and is in command of all the five elders under him.

All elder level figures required to be at an early stage Dao Emperor before being conferred on the title of elder by the sect's forefather.

Above them were the peak of mortal realm, the Dao Monarch realm.

The Qi Clan have 4 of this ancestor level figure and the one having the highest cultivation is the sect's forefather, a late stage Dao Monarch realm, Qi Zhu.

The other 3 ancestors were all at the mid-stage Dao Monarch realm.

It was rumored that their progenitor, Qi Xuan, was already at the peak stage Dao Monarch realm and close to breaking through to become an Immortal during the Great War.

All four of their ancestors are in secluded cultivation in hopes of breaking through to the next sub-realm.

Due to this, almost all of the clan's decision making is under the sect master's authority.

As for very important matters which may affect the clan's whole well-being, they are jointly decided by the sect master, prime elder and the rest of elders.

With regards to utilization of highly valued resources such as earthly treasures, this has to be consented by all of their four ancestors.

"Don't worry elders, it is every clan members duty to obey the clan's rule. I have nothing to say about it. My only hope is that Qi Meng will grow as strong as a Dao King before his coming of age ceremony. I sincerely beseech the clan's full support, blessing and guidance." Qi Yu bowed and seriously said.

Of course, he definitely had high hopes for his son to be stronger than his peers.

Qi Yu as the sect master still needs to show respect to these elder level figures when interacting with them as they are at least in the same realm or above his cultivation realm.

Before being conferred on the title of sect master, one has to be at least at the early stage Dao Emperor realm or an elder level figure. Qi Yu just recently broke through to the mid-stage Dao Emperor realm during his seat of being a sect master.

Another elder answered, "We need to discuss this matter with the ancestors. You know very well that our clan is in decline and needs to be frugal with regards to our cultivation resources."

He sighed simultaneously with the rest of the elders. It is known to all that the Qi Clan had lived in prosperity during the time of their founding ancestor. The clan started to decline after the Great War were their founding ancestor sacrificed his life in order to protect the clan. Generations after generations, each succeeding sect forefather were found lacking campared to their progenitor. This resulting for the clan to be what it is in the present day.

Qi Yu sighed as well and bowed after saying, "I understand. But I still hope that the clan can put all our efforts in nurturing Meng'er better so that we would not lose face in front of the Chu Clan when the time comes. Meng'er is our prime disciple after all."

Elder Qi Mu promptly replied, "Well, if our clan is still like the olden glorious days, we do not need to discuss about this issue." He sighed.

The sect master bid his farewell to the elders and went back to their courtyard.

"How was the meeting?" Asked Qi Zi.

"Well, we just pray that the ancestors will look into it and grant their blessings." Qi Yu dejectedly said as he sighed.

Qi Zi comforted him by saying with a smile, "It's gonna be fine. Our Meng'er will surely be talented and gifted. Even with our current circumstances, he will still shine brighter among his peers."

Qi Yu smiled back and hugged both his wife and the innocent baby.

Qi Meng's eyes glittered and smiled not being noticed by the couple.

"Wonderful! So this is the effect of Samsara."

A thought came out and it was from the innocent baby, Qi Meng. It turned out that he has entered Samsara and is back from the start. The good thing is that all of his memories from his previous cultivation were all retained.

If other cultivators were to know about this, they would be shocked and full of envy. For cultivators, this is the most terrific fortune and luck they can acquire in their lifetime. Imagine being an expert with all the knowledge of a Godking, what does it mean? He can start cultivating again and rectify all the flaws from his previous cultivation and gain an even more terrifying dao foundation ever.

"I should start cultivating now and shake the world sooner." Qi Meng grinned in his thought while having the baby poker face and his eyes glimmering.

"First step is to be a Dao Child within 10 days. And then a Dao Apprentice in a month. I need to mask my cultivation progress and be careful not to be noticed by the elders, otherwise too much attention is not good for the clan." Qi Meng pondered.

If it were to be known by others, they would think that he is insane. One has to know that it takes for a genius to reach the Dao Child realm in 6 months and a year for average mortals. While it takes a year for a genius to break through the Dao Apprentice realm and 2 years for an average mortal. But since he is a knowlegeable expert, he knows all the profundities of all the secret arts and just needs to cultivate slowly step by step without any worries. If he wished to, he can cultivate into Dao Apprentice realm within 10 days but he doesn't want to in order to prevent any flaws in his dao foundation.

"Let us start cultivating the Mortal Reciprocating Secret Art." It is said that this art is the best cultivation technique suitable for humans. It stems from the most basic law and being able to cultivate it profoundly can make one above his peers. This cultivation technique was created by Qi Meng himself when he was already a Godking in order to prepare for his Samsara. It is right to say that all of his knowledge and cultivation efforts were put into this single cultivation technique.

The cultivation realms for mortals are as follows: Dao Child, Dao Apprentice, Dao Adept, Dao Sage, Dao King, Dao Saint, Dao Paragon, Dao Emperor, Dao Monarch. Each realm is divided into four stages namely: early stage, middle stage, late stage, and lastly, the peak stage.

Average mortals started to cultivate as early as 5 years old. Geniuses and Sons of Heaven or the so-called Saint Child even cultivated earlier between 3 to 4 years of age. Being able to start to cultivate is a gift from the Heaven and is not the same for all mortals. Most mortals were left oblivious and remain as ordinary mortals in their lifetime, not able to receive the gift from Heaven. This gift from the Heaven is called the heavenly fate.

Knowing this, Qi Meng is a bit special and extraordinary, as he has already his heavenly fate before entering Samsara and it shall be forever with him until the moment he truly dies. Mortals call it heavenly fate, while experts also called it true fate.
