Awakened

Alex wandered around the room contemplating what had happened. She had woken up a few minutes ago, laying on a unknown bed. The air was thick of musk and the walls were sticky with smoke residue. The only clue she could find was a picture of a girl who looked around 4 to 5 years old. On the back of the photo it states the year 2010. She entered the kitchen, taking notice of a pile of dirty dishes and a sticky note on the fridge reading "I'll be back in 2 weeks, I left some cash on the coffee table - dad" with the date August 7th,2023 written on it. Noticing the date, she becomes frantic. Looking through each drawer and cabinet for a calender or a phone. Something that she could use to get the date, and if her assumption was right. She had traveled 7 years into the the future.
